I agree. But it’s in stores so you don’t have to go to the brewery.

Good to know! I live close enough I just go to the brewery if I want something, and these days I don't order anymore because I won't hit the minimum. But if they do sell out onsite I can check the stores!

Hollow Sea is very good. Thanks for the recs on that. One of the best lagers I have had from Kane.

I don’t taste any hops in Donut Shack whatsoever. Meh.

3288 is really good. It’s not too sweet even with all the adjuncts. The barrel or barrels are present. And it has a perfect mouthfeel.

Hollow Sea and Through The Empty Space (despite their nomers) have kept me going during these trying times.

    Fantastic sleeper brews.

Through The Empty Space is delightful. So we’ll-executed. Can’t find a single thing wrong with it. The 8% abv is very sneaky.

I read someone’s “review” on Untappd saying that it was good but it was “begging for adjuncts like marshmallow or peanut butter”. My eyes rolled right out of my fucking head. As if we need more goop in our stouts/porters. Ugh.:rolling_eyes:...I think it’s good because there’s no adjuncts, but what do I know?

Totally agree with you. I enjoy Bourbon barrel aged stouts and the occasional desert stout but not everything needs to be (or should be) loaded up with adjuncts! That’s one reason I love Carton’s Unjunct and miss Victory Storm King.

Go grab some Brooklyn black chocolate stout or expedition stout. When I revisited black chocolate stout last year it was a very memorable moment. The head and lacing on that thing are a thing of beauty. And obviously despite its name it is indeed unjunk’d as well.

But...I am looking forward to maybe finally getting to try one of the barrel evening bells this year. I’ve never made it up there for Black Friday but I’m assuming those beers may make it to delivery like all these eventbrite leftovers have.

ugh this made me facepalm haha. Through The Empty Space is great, didn't grab it this year yet, but I loved it last time they did it. IMO nothing is begging for adjuncts, especially not that beer which is a perfect balance for me. Comments like that just further my thoughts I ranted on over in the OH thread that there's a large segment of craft beer drinks who are new and can only handle drinking overly sweet beer and not anything that resembles actual beer UGH

After I had an Empty Space I thought to myself, "I bet they put this in barrels." :sunglasses:

Not sure how 3288 is still available. As good as any BA stout kane has put out.

20$ a bottle...at one point in the past Id probably have bought some. No beer is worth that much to me anymore, but also, to each their own.

Last year's was a 750 ml. But the ANTEADs were 30$ a pop for 750ml which comes out to the same price. On a different note though I am wondering if/how black Friday evening bell will go.

Phew, ANTEAD allowing proxies this year. That’s gonna go quickly.

Damn after fees and taxes it’s about $100 for a four pack of 16 oz bottles. No thanks for me but I’m sure it’ll go quickly. Would love to purchase one bottle of the basic ATEAD and not have to get all the sweet desert variants. Maybe once the pick up is over.
