I saw a single variant of this ever. Don't know if breweries didn't produce much or they sold mostly on site but out of all the breweries that participated I only found the Ology version

 

I am entirely to indulgent sometimes.





I have no idea why I am listening to some Jewel song about suicide but I always liked the beat.

 

Had been on the lookout for a while, then just happened upon this four pack. This is from Invictus Brewing, Blaine Mn. While I'm a fan of the idea of this beer, not a fan of the beer itself.

 

The idea is nice if it could be well executed. The problem is a lot of breweries can't look at a recipe and seem to brew the beer properly and others just said fuck it and filled them with adjuncts and BA'd them to sell for $15/500ml

I doubt think that is what the movement was originally about.

 

Russian River - Beatification (date missing, vintage unknown. Somewhere between '06 and '14)

This is a truly wonderful expression, and it really captures the capability of spontaneous fermentation. It's very complex and nuanced, with tons of gueuze-like notes, a flash-in-the-pan pucker before a strong resinous bitterness takes over. Crazy bright, with endless lemon, lime, citron, white grape, unripe stone fruit, fresh flowers, grass, and petrichor notes, with a big, musty, mature, funky, bretty finish, showing wet hay, dusty attic, stone cellar, sea shells, parchment, leather, old oak, forest floor, and this beautiful thread of maturity. This is spectacular!
