Shrooms? Whatcha cookin'? :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

I really need to check out that band. I've heard such great things, but they're just not on my YouTube radar.

DDH Simcoe Bomb from Sloop. Not as good as Nelson Bomb, but still very nicely executed. Cheers!

Following up with Young's Double Chocolate Stout, a classic. The mellowness led to me reminiscing with my daughter about what I would characterize as classic pop or "melodic music," a music form common in the 40's, 50's, and 60's, that co-existed with, but was basically largely replaced by Rock & Roll (think Burt Bacharach). Two from Oliver, one from the Stone Poneys:

Stay Safe, Rock On, and Sláinte!

Tonight I'm making a bunch of stewed mushrooms with aromatics, thyme, and Madiera served over farro. It's my first time making this recipe, but it smells great in here.

I'll be honest, I wrote King Gizzard off for a long time, but once I got into them I fell hard. They're incredibly varied in their styles, and try to switch up their sound with every album while staying true to themselves. They've released 18 albums since 2011, so there's a chance you'll find some stuff that you love and some that may not be for you. You listen to a lot of heavy stuff so I'd suggest starting with Infest The Rats' Nest, Murder of the Universe, and Nonagon Infinity to start with. Those are their more aggressive albums with Rats' Nest being pretty much straight thrash. Their other albums veer into more psychedelic territory. I'm glad I finally became a fan.

Well said I'll drink to that!

Also I am pretty sure you aren't supposed to drink stouts out of these style of glasses but it was clean..

Cheers to all! I'm all done for the day. Got a lot of work done the the lawn and had two delicious meals already and it isn't even dinner. I'm gonna sip this guy slow and just enjoy the weather. If I were a cigar smoker now would be the perfect time for one. Never saw the appeal in cigars despite the fact I was a cigarette smoker for years. On the bright side of things cigars can be repurposed into something considerably more useful imo

    Sounds amazing (the food)!

I listen to a lot of, well, not calmer stuff exactly, but not crushingly heavy: a lot of prog rock, for example. I've heard that King Gizzard is a bit of an experimental throwback band. I love Witchcraft (Pelander) and Ghost, and they are both rooted in modernizing a '70s sound - so if they're anything like that, I'll probably like them.

Just looked at the Grammy nominations and has often been the case during my lifetime, I'm not really sure why they refer to these as "Awards." If you doubt me, go through the previous Song Of The Year winners. Some of that garbage is still releasing noxious gas. Anyway.

Beer number two for the day is Back To The 90's, a 6.5% India Red Ale from Lervig. I don't have a tremendous amount of experience with this brewery, but I really like this and their 3 Bean Stout and Brewers Reserve Barley Wine are exceptional. Would like to see much more from them. Cheers.

Sorry for the bad pic, advocates. Hey, I'll take a bad pic over no pic at all. Kinda the unwritten rules around here, ya dig? Equalizer from Arvon out of Michigan. I really like what they're doing. Peace to you & yours. I love you.
