Sometimes I feel it might be better to post what you’re looking for and see if what you have can pull those iso items. Is there something you most interested in trading for? Btw those bottles you have have good value.

Should i post that in here first to see what you guys think? I could just post it directly in the trade board but I hate to ask for something in return thats way out of wack.

Anyone have a gauge on 4Roses Small Batch Limited Edition? I've got a Pips Blueberry Pancake I'm considering offering for it but looking to know if I'll need to add

I have not been trading for several years. I have some older BCBS variants that I figured I should trade before they get (even) older.
    -2009 Bomber
-2010 Vanilla (OG Vanilla, not Vanilla Rye)
-Bramble (OG Bramble, not Bramble Rye)
    -Cherry Rye
    -Backyard Rye
    -Prop 14
    -Vanilla Rye
    -King Henry

Are there a couple of these that are clearly more desirable than the others? Would any of these trade for Handjee or that ballpark? Would they trade for more recent BCBS variants fairly easily (Double Barrel, Reserve, 2-year Reserve, etc)?

Wow! That's an impressive list. You don't see this much vintage Goose Island from an original owner posted for trade.

All of those would trade fairly high nowadays. I would think you can close Handjee with 2010 Vanilla 1:1 or perhaps with a small plus on your side. I know a lot of people that want to tick the 2010 Vanilla may do this as the number in the wild are dwindling. You can also package Prop 14 + OG Bramble or Backyard Rye for Handjee potentially. If you want to close quickly for a Handjee you could do something like Prop 14 + Vanilla Rye for Handjee.

As far as DB BCBS you could probably close that 1:1 for King Henry, Prop 14, Cherry Rye, or even the Vanilla Rye with the right set of eyes. Other variants generally trade lower and you may be able to get multiples depending on what you are after.

I'll take a stab at this and lets others chime in if I am off base but it's probably 1.5x - 2x Horus Plumed to Distractions but it's probably a right set of eyes situation. So Plumed and Kentucky Dose should work but I am thinking folks who were able to get Distractions probably have all these bottles.

Looking like Birthday and Anniversary are plummeting in value now. Hearing they had wide distro out in NYC, DC, STL, etc.

Baback (affinity) gave some solid advice. I'll add on. If you are gonna go after a Handjee with your OG nilla ask for a 2016 or 2017. You should get a solid plus if going after a newer handjee. Don't under value your OG Bramble as well. You don't see many asking for it, but it's a very hard one to land. I chased it for a bit a couple years ago and ended up giving up a BA Coco Vibes for OG Bramble + Rare 15. The others should trade for DB BCBS easily.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback! I am glad to hear that I was not too off-base in what I was thinking.

@not2quick Regarding the Handjee feedback: are 2016/2017 generally thought to be better (tasting) vintages, or is it more an issue of availability?

I cant speak on being better because I've only had 2018. FWIW I had a 2012 vanilla darklord and it was still great. So I wouldn't be turned off by a 2016 or 17 handjee. If you want to go fresh hell, you might be able to get 2020 Handjee x2 for OG Nilla. You should get a nice plus if you go after a 19. 18 may have dropped a bit too.

Maybe a .75-1 VR unit? Seems that folks don't chase the earlier batches much.

If no answer can be found here, or if I'm going about this all wrong, I completely understand and appreciate whatever advice is thrown my way. Is there any trade value in the bottles listed below? Especially wondering if I could get some bourbon with any of them, not talking BTAC don't worry! But also just in general wondering if they would gather any interest. Was also wondering if this would be better suited in a local forum or just in the IN PERSON or ISO sections. But again just curious as to what these may even fetch, I don't want to have too high of hopes or vice versa and get low balled and played.

    Available offerings:
    Veil Bourbon Misery Wizard
    Westbrook Mexican Cake regular 2016
    Veil Old Belgeiz
    Burial Portal Into Infinite Nonexistence
    Burial Virtues of Patience
    Fonta Flora/Perennial Sedentary Reverence
...possibly some others, but that's all I've dug outta the fridge for now.

Thanks in advance for any input and guidance!

Probably wouldn't be able to land any good bourbon from that offering. Maybe some stuff you could already find at your local store (Eagle Rare, WSR), but nothing worth trading/shipping for.

You might be better off selling those on secondary market and then using the proceeds to buy bourbon.

That's more or less what I was thinking. It's not that I even want great hard to get stuff. I just had such a back log of beer and I've been so much more into bourbon lately and have taken a back seat to these big thick brews that I kinda just want to be able to trade for bourbon shelfies or like you said, sell and buy some bourbon. Thanks for the input!

As already stated, probably nothing hype/rare but you could probably get a store pick or two of something more mainstream e.g. four roses which in of itself can be good. I don't think ECBP is out of question either.

Handjee should add. Depends on what year for the Handjee, as the 19 seems to be moving a little lower than the other versions. On the high end of the BBT value range you might be able to get something in the range of BAIGCCS as a plus, on the low end probably something half of that value

2 Elmers might not even close a KBBS.

The good beers have more value locally than nationally. Charleywine has closed some decent stuff in tampa (just went 1:1 with AB huna). Outside of that most of the bottles have little to no value. Maybe 2:1 for a B3K if you're trading the barleywines from the club.

Not to be that guy but those have little to no trade value.

I don't take it like that at all, no worries! I knew the trade value would be super low and basically nothing, but honestly just hoping someone would maybe want an out of production beer in exchange for a shelfie I haven't had or a shelfie store pick since these have just been sitting in my fridge. Thanks for the insight!
