    Having some Heady Topper for the first time in over a year. Really nice, fragrant floral and dank, crisp notes of passionfruit, blueberry, some white grape, grapefruity citrus, toasty bready crackery malt, and resinous dankness. Tastes so clean and crisp and complex, grapefruit, lychee, white grapes, passionfruit, lemon, mango, perfectly toasted bready malt, herbal dank spice notes, it's like there are 100 different hops in this beer right now, I can't even begin to comprehend all the flavors I'm getting. Last time this got distributed to Boston I didn't pick any up because I was full of beer and not really in need of an IPA. Decided to get this when I saw it Saturday as my current not completely opaque IPA of choice. Glad I got this, and it might even be the freshest I've ever tasted Heady Topper since the last time I was in VT and got some at a store I don't believe it had a date code, and maybe didn't taste as fresh and crisp and bitter as right now. Glad to be able to experience such a great beer again. Cheers everyone!

    This is really good. Nice and tart. Very lightly fruited and you get a lot of the base berliner. This is no smoothie that is for sure.

    In '77 I was listening to Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Lou Reed, Yes, Kansas, ZZTop was as close to country as I got. But times change and I saw Willie at Billy Bob's about 8 or 10 years ago and Willie is King around here today. Along with the Red Dirt gang in Texas and Oklahoma and Ryan Bingham of New Mexico. That list of artists is long too.
    I got too old for the picnic now. Ryan brings it to you. CHEERS!!

    I got up from a nap around 1230 to a text that my gf lost her job. She was only there a month, and her trainer was an asshole (to HR) about her asking too many questions and not learning processes fast enough. Sounds like a lot of bullshit to me. She will look up here or in Wooster for her next job, and this might mean she moves in sooner than march, so a small positive note. I have to go in to work today and finish up the last of my training. I am going to shave my head down to 1mm before I go in though. It's getting annoying to me.

    Yes, I know I should clean the catfood scraps off my table thing (it is really just a Rubbermaid container but it turns out they are also useful for tables/nightstands. I also need an paint over the spilled stout on my wall I am building up the motivation

    Also I like candles a whole lot FYI. I don't buy the fancy $30 ones but I'm also burning the generic $5 ones that are pretty good.

    First beer of the day is Mikkeller Fresh Start, a 6.4% NEIPA made with Bru-1 and Simcoe hops and apparently brewed exclusively for the Ontario market. Yes, the beer is sitting on my weight bench, and yes, I will be drinking the beer while doing a weight workout. If you find that unusual, well, I just have to ask myself what kind of Advocate you really are. :slight_smile: Cheers. [​IMG]
