Just woke up from a nice long nap. Going to go outside and see how the roads look, will decide on whether to drive to my gf's house. Cleveland got it pretty bad I heard. I need to take a shower soon.

    Amazing as usual.

Take a shower and drive to her house, in this order, IMO. Any snow pictures to share with us?

Lucky you on the golf. In Ontario my course closed for the winter a month ago. However, I have lofty goals for the offseason and intend on doing a golf specific strength program with the hope of adding 10-15 yards to my drives. Cheers.

Didn't need it, but purchased a bottle of Japanese single malt to go with some seven-month old Russian River 'Velvet Glow'. Then found an unmarked CD I made of a Ry Cooder live broadcast from The Record Plant taped July 7th, 1973. It's a good afternoon in the Fortress of Solitude...

Haven’t had anything from them in years. They aren’t what they used to be? There’s competition over in Cali... cheers.

Received a delivery today of my go to Imperial Stout, which is brewed by Wellington Brewery in Guelph, Ontario. I save $17 per 24 case ordering direct from the brewery as opposed to buying from the LCBO, so even with the flat delivery fee of $10, I'm well ahead of the game by picking up two 24 packs. Wellington has recently entered the barrel aging game, which for better or worse, is to modern brewing what Sabermetrics is to modern baseball. You just gotta do it. Since I love the Imperial Stout, I decided to pick up a few each of these four barrel offerings.

Starting off with one called UVB-76 Yelena. It’s 11.9%, aged in Bourbon barrels and brewed with coffee and cascara (I had to look that up). Decent head and moderate lacing, coffee on the nose, great body, subtle on the Bourbon and the perfect amount of bite. An excellent Imperial Stout! Canned November 20th at 9:27AM for those who are detail oriented. Cheers. [IMG]

Central Artery helles lager from Trillium up next. Super clean, crisp and beery. Some aromas of honey, biscuit, wildflowers, and soft earthy herbal grass. Taste brings gentle fruit to the mix, perhaps a hint of dried orange and pear, honeyed biscuits, toasty cracker, wildflowers, and soft floral earthy herbal grass notes. Medium plus bodied, substantial, crisp and smooth, real nice beer. Cheers all!

    Good evening to all Advocates!
This is a fresh can of

HOP MACHINE - a Double Dry Hopping IPA (7%) brewed by Birrificio Pontino (Latina, ITA).

"To drink preferably by April 2021" - on the label.
On the nose, an explosion of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, passion fruit) and yellow-fleshed fruit (yellow peaches).
Voluminous foam when poured (vertical), it vanishes by itself in a short time remaining only in a veil on the surface.
Beer (as you can see from the photos) very "hazy", cloudy.
In the mouth you can find the bouquet of tropical fruit that was perceived on the nose (especially pineapple).
    Fishing is also perceived.
Citric tip perhaps in the final part to precede a non-astringent bitter.
A slight bit of bitterness remains on the tongue while the fruit flavor predominates on the palate.
Pleasant beer with a flowing body certainly thanks to the corn used in the recipe.
Maybe not the best balance ... maybe a bitter that "dries" the beer more is more of my preference. This beer is certainly suitable for those looking for a fruity, fresh and not excessively bitter beer.

Having a Boundary Boundhouse Kick DIPA while trying not to work this evening. Basically orange juice with a bit of that Vic Secret edge. A fantastic DIPA.
