Glad to see another insurance professional. Although, you’re the smart one. I’m just an underwriter.:beers:

High School Special Education Teacher. Working in High School SPED is the only job I've had post-college, and unless something significant changes, it'll be the only gig I have. We're taken care of well here, and as the kids would say, "it's my jam."

By choice I am not currently working, although I wouldn’t say I’m retired, although I could be. Hope that makes sense. I’m always open to something of interest. Due to a restless nature and desire to learn new things, I have been a Physical Therapist, Personal Trainer, Investment Advisor for one of the world’s largest banks and a Teacher. Interspersed with all that has been some freelance writing, more for fun than economic bang. I’m toying with an idea related to the writing that could be interesting and economically worthwhile.

I'm a semi retired small business consultant, mostly involving expansions. At least that's what I tell my wife I'm doing while hiding in my office drinking beer.

    Like @scream...

Prior to that, professional cook (short order), construction laborer, black world communications and computer operations dude during my military career, retail sales selling bird seed and moose magnets until going fully retired a year ago...

Now it's beer, music, reading, photography, chess and sudoku, and will take up more bicycle touring starting next year...

Like the OP, a college professor.
    And part-time stand-up comedian.

With encouragement from a teacher/part-time comedian buddy (no shit), I wrote a ten minute set of original material and performed it twice at a club in my city. I did it for shits and giggles and to prove to myself I had the balls to stand in front of a hundred odd people and bring it. It's excruciating and my hat goes off to anyone who does it regularly.

I was in food service for over 30 years. I needed the job so I lied and said I could cook, but was really a baker. I ended up starting a bakery there and stayed for 26 years. I worked for a whole house club's retail bakery for about 4 years and got sick of the dough so I went on the loaf.. I actually work at their home office now, I run the mail room and shipping and receiving. It's an easier job at my advanced years then baking, which I miss immensely.

I am a very retired, 10 years retired, firefighter/rescue technician/paramedic, did that for over 30 years.
Life expectancy for firefighters is about 10 years less than the average population.
I have since flipped a few houses, worked as a river guide in The Smoky Mountains.
Currently I surf, SUP, sail, hike, kayak, visit friends and family all over the country.
I drink a few beers almost every day and that and BA is quite the blessing.
I'll be glad when this pandemic is over and international travel becomes a possibility.
    Happy Holidays to all.
    Be well.
    Cheers!

I'm retired from being a safety engineer for a property insurance company. Nowadays I have expanded into 7 days the yard work what I used to do on weekends, and do a lot of reading.

Pre-pandemic, in my spare time my wife (also retired) and I take off on pub crawls (1 to 27 days in length) or travel to the west coast to visit our two daughters who live there (and we drink more beers).
