One more, only on the agency side. Are you on the P&C side? I used to run an agency but we got bought by a big national broker so now I manage a book of commercial business, run the sales team, and generally catch all kinds of other cannonballs as they come in...

Union steamfitter, coming up on 36 years in the trade. The light at the end of the retirement tunnel is getting a little brighter. I started when I was 19, right out of high school. Although it can be very hard work and sometimes rough on your body, the variety of the work and people you meet is great. It has been very good to me and my family and allows me to truly enjoy a lot of things.

As a long time cemetery trustee, we see many more cremations, and now even more green burials. Its so interesting how the generations change. The cemetery I am refferng to was incorporated in 1718, when everyone was a green burial.
    Cheers

Retirement is wonderful, but also not quite what you think it is.
    Overall? I highly recommend it!

I gotta agree. I have played music in front of an audience, and read poetry in front of an audience, but never had the guts to go in front of a crowd for a stand-up set.

My brother always thought he was funny, and I did too, so I asked him if I wrote a bit for him if he'd have the guts to do it live? He said if he thought it was funny, he'd do it. So I wrote a ten minute bit I thought was funny, and he read it, and he thought it was funny, and now his bluff (if it was one) was called.. He was gonna do it, gotta give the guy props. I wasn't able to make it due to family responsiblity, but the night he went for open mic a semi famous comic was there and went up and did a full set and that was that, he said. He never got the guts again.

I'm terrified of it, people who can do it have my undying admiration.

I'm a project manager/mechanical engineer for a MEP/FP consulting engineering design firm. Personally, I have designed HVAC systems for the past 15 years for residential low-rise multi-unit housing, religious, retail, and commercial buildings throughout the tri-state (NJ, PA, and DE) area. Also, manage several different teams of engineers for projects ranging from small to medium scale. Do all my own drafting, (AutoCAD), and design for all my projects.

No. We call it Financial Lines. Professional liability. So we have some overlap as I’m sure as the head of an agency that you may have been involved in purchasing E&O insurance. That’s what I sell.
