I’m usually not one to start a new thread this early, but here I am. World class beer after a great night with my “ride or die.” (I’m sure @vabeerguy is like, “What’s ‘ride or die’”? Hell yeah, Mike.) 2020 Sure has been a son of a gun, but damn, my ass got lucky to meet her!

Damn, BA’s. I’m not really in the mood to sleep. Just kind of hanging out and feeling it.

This is an odd one. Monkish Space Cookie: Salted Caramel and Mocha. The smell is fantastic, but the citrus is fighting the coffee a lil too much. Cheers:

Have a good Thursday. Congrats to @RaulMondesi as usual, we both are having the best end of the year of our lives for it being 2020. I drove home from my girlfriends house at 5pm yesterday then I passed out until 6 AM this morning. I have to go into work at 9AM, so today is actually my first full work day after only going in a couple times to do the e-learning. Will probably get off at 5 or something and get dinner from work again . I just fed both my cats and now they are going crazy and running around the house for no reason

Reviewing one of these again. This was a great one. Aromas and flavors of big tart/juicy black raspberries, fruit skin/seed, citrus, grain, white sugar syrup, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Touch of alcohol booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light herbal/grassy bitterness and alcohol spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/syrupy/sticky mouthfeel that is great. A bit crisp on carbonation, slightly refreshing. Mild increasing warmth of 8% after the finish. I thought this was a lot smoother and less boozy than the rest of the flavors I have tried so far. Will seek out the rest. 4.05

Good day BAs! Off to a cool and clear start to the morning - could actually see a few stars in spite of the moon. Today's New Breakfast Beer is one of my favorite styles - I'll go to my local distributor when he opens (0900) and see if he can order a case for me:

Delightful! Rating 4.1, rDev +3.5%. I hope tomorrow's NBB (also a kriek) is as good.

Not as chilly for this morning’s dog walk, a practically tepid 52°. Dogs fed and some kitchen clean up done. Warming up nicely while finishing off last night’s closer - Fremont’s BA Dark Star, Chocolate, Vanilla and Maple Syrup (2019):

From the Brewer, “This year’s release is a blend of 24, 18, 12, and 8-month Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star in 7-12 year old Kentucky bourbon barrels.”

An Imperial Oatmeal Stout that is amazing! The maple is strong on the nose, but hides on the palate. Otherwise lots of bourbon, bitter sweet dark chocolate, oaky vanilla. Very nice balance between barrel contributions and the adjuncts. Dry oaky finish. A top tier BA stout.

It’s gonna be hard to follow this beer today...although the weather will warm up some so I may switch over to IPAs...have a thoughtful Thursday y’all, and Cheers!

[IMG] Light Weight 7% NEIPA. Poured on draft, with a finger sticky white head that leaves thin barbed wire lace as it slowly settles. Color is a hazy yellow. 425

Aroma peach, ripe melon, papaya, passionfruit, apricot, and some white grapefruit rind. 4.25

Taste follows passionfruit, peach, cantaloupe, papaya, apricot, and some grapefruit bitterness that lingers a bit after each sip. 4.25

Mouthfeel is medium, a tad sticky not dry, fairly soft carbonation, and at 7% it drinks bigger but goes down very easy. 4.25

Overall this is a nice brew, a little more bitter than many from them and I personally like that about it. I recommend for sure. 4.25

    Good evening everyone Advocates!
    I'm finishing drinking a

Birrificio Sabino (ITA) - IL LAMPIONAIO - Sour Saison 5,8%.

Sticker on the label (such as those for the price on food) indicating that it should be drunk preferably by 09/12/2021.
This is a Sour Saison from a small brewery in my Region that adheres to UNIONBIRRAI.
In addition to the basic ingredients, there is the addition of sugar, lactobacilli and organic percoche peaches added during the fermentation phase.
The nose immediately peaches in a clear and absolute way.
    Light yellow color, impenetrable opaque.
Cap of abundant foam that dissolves quickly but not completely (more than a veil remains on the head of the beer).
In the mouth there is an intense boquet of peaches (clearly percoche, for those who know them), little Sour (just a touch on the tongue after drinking), a lot of fruit. In the nuanced palate, the fruit remains a cereal sensation that brings back the rusic hints typical of Saison-style beers (more herbaceous than earthy, but also nuances attributable to crackers).
Beer with a very drinkable body, very fruity, dry, rustic finish, just sour: certainly suitable for those who like peach fruit.
    Fresh, summery, complete and satisfying.
    Really good guys.

Ps. Present an understandable deposit on the bottom of the bottle.
