F'in OZNR!!!! The only solace I find in this app is that 8.5 months from now will be the huge influx of neckbeards with newborns named Ozner....

Wow, that went fast. I remember Falling colors French Silk and the first Arktype lasting longer than that. Looks like people aren't out of cash from Stout Season just yet.

Coco arketype wasn’t anything special so I don’t see the need to keep buying these mundane stouts

I still see it at Huntly, but I'm pretty sure it was an instant sell out in VP.

I want it because it's French toast, but I don't want it because of how far Coco Ark was behind similar stouts. I'll stick with the Hennas.

To each his own, I’ll find somewhere else to spend my $22 though. Especially with the Rev release coming up next week :relieved:

Without the barrel cutting the sweetness, I find myself not being able to finish 16oz of most stouts. That doesn’t mean some BA stouts aren’t too sweet as well, but with the Cuppa’s and now these arketype’s they just aren’t that desirable to me

not sure if this has been mentioned, but to remove your credit card information from oznr you have to email support.

    that is some bullshit.

I was agreeing it's a non-buy for me and Coco Ark fell short of expectations as well. See you at Rev.

I must be in the minority, but I loved Coco Flux. Like, it was one of my favorite non-BA stouts of the year. Super rich chocolate and coconut, it was like drinking cake. I bought 4 cans initially and ended up going back to buy 2 more. IIRC, it lasted a couple of weeks at VP.

I only got two cans of the French Toast though. Coco Flux had perfect sweetness for me, but I'm a little wary about French Toast being too sweet. Most "French toast" stouts are super sweet (looking at you especially, Hubbard's Cave), and Henna CMV was the sweetest Henna I've tried. Very good chance this one's going to be a beetus bomb.

EDIT: Falling Colors French Silk lasted at least a week or two also, but that one wasn't really that good.

You must have a higher threshold for sweetness. I only bought 2 cans of the coco and I won’t even drink the second one

Yeah, I have a wide sweetness threshold. The funny thing with Arketype is that it's actually a really good straight up stout that isn't sweet at all and has a really nice coffee/cocoa/dark fruit flavor. But once they get the adjuncts in it, the sweetness gets ratcheted up a ton.

By the way, I finally got to try Monogatari last night, and it was really good. Goses aren't my favorite beers, but this one was really well done.

Just got notified I won Petro, very cool.

I sat out on the Petro release. I drove to the Villa Park location this past Sunday to pick up Arketype. To my surprise when I am there, they tell me I ordered at the Huntley location. My mistake, not theirs. So I made the drive and maaann that place is far! I just couldn't see myself driving out there again if I had won.
