I've only had 1 full-time job. Started in 1982 at a Nuclear Power Plant .... project controls, scheduling, work management. In 2019 our department went to a contractor vs in-house approach to "save money". I took the early retirement 4/1/19 .... they re-hired me 9/1/19 as a contractor for 1.5x what I was making. Hmm, good idea guys. Doing 15 - 20 hours a week now and enjoying it.

I'm in sales for a large leasing company that deals with railroads and large industrial users who ship by rail. I get to travel a ton and drink beer on the company dime.

Thanks to Beerfly, I always have a post working day plan.

Graphic designer/art director for a small ad agency. Lots of corporate identity, branding, and web design, with some occasional packaging design to keep things interesting.

As a freelance hustle, I've designed a whole bunch of beer labels over the past 7 years or so. If you drank beer from The Bruery between 2013 and 2018, you probably saw my work.

I also recently designed a logo and a set of label templates for a brewery that should be just about ready to open in Anaheim, CA.

Mrs. Z was a tenured professor at the University of Florida, School of Journalism, when she retired...along with her PhD she brought many years of experience (Michael Jordan boxers TV spots and tons of tobacco ads) before she got her Masters/PhD at UG. Keep at it!

My wife works at my business, yes we are together all day, all night. Its not that bad like you say. We get along well and we both miss visiting breweries in person.

I've had my own automation engineering business for 35 years. At one point I had a partner and 28 employees. That sucked (the partner was okay, he retired). Now we have 2 other employees besides me, my wife and my son. So we've had a Covid bubble and have worked every workday this year. I love my work.
I see a lot of you pushing retirement. I'm 62 and can't imagine retiring unless I won a 6 or 7 figure lottery or similar to have enough money to keep myself entertained 7/365. I'm not a workaholic, I limit my hours to reasonable on purpose but between home projects, travel and beer I'm either doing something or I'm asleep.

I work as a 3rd tier desktop support engineer for a well known medical school. Basically, I get all the problems that nobody else can resolve. We support staff, research, faculty, pretty much anybody that breathes. Right now we're involved in making the transition from a domain managed environment to an Azure AD/hybrid environment so I'm getting a lot more involved in the endpoint management. It's really a pretty interesting and challenging place to work.

I'm lucky enough to be able to work remotely since this Covid pandemic began, I haven't been in the office since March 17th and there's no plans for returning anytime soon. Thanks in large part to our team, we were able to transition the work force to working remotely in a matter of weeks.
