Yeah, I just got through it. Nine days of no taste or smell beginning Thanksgiving (which really sucked because I broke in my new grill by smoking a turkey that day). Mine finally started coming back Friday. It comes and goes, but I’ll take it. I completely understand the depression you’re currently going through. At least your waistline will thank you.

At least Rev went easy on us only releasing one Crowler offering this time.

    Just curious,

Do we know at what point of a aging a barrel stops giving out tannins or at least when it's a negligible amount and then it's solely evaporation at play? And wouldn't evaporation in a barrel be bad as that head space would lead to oxidization? Just want to know how long a beer can age in a barrel before it is counterproductive.

    No shit!

@BeerCruncher can you please send over the Rev payroll deduction form, so I can get it squared away with my HR?

I was concerned there was going to be a Ryeway or Mineshaft Gap single barrel something and Deth's Tar crowler. Mercifully is Revolution. And the last round in January is only two beers!

That's one of my favorite episodes. RIP Burgess Meredith. The Shatner episode on the plane with the monster and the time traveling airplane probably round out my top 3.

Yeah - that was gone by 9:45am.
What I am surprised by is that DBVSOD is "Out of Stock" by 10:40am for the presale folks.

I'm assuming that means they have a chunk of stock that they put away for pre-sale and the rest is saved for regular (:slight_frown::grimacing::slight_frown::grimacing::grimacing::grimacing::slight_frown:)

I think anything that has "DB" on the label has a lot more people interested in 2020 then last time Rev released it.

For sure they say it could sell out for VIP presale, I am just surprised it did so early. But that is very smart to let people know in their email that this could happen to avoid the inevitable complainers/butt-hurt crowd.
They also were smart to post online about Rewards points to avoid the onslaught of emails:
"REV REWARDS points are entered manually and may take a few days to show up on your account, especially after busy special release weekends. We appreciate your patience!"
They also improved the ease of ordering by linking Related Items (same release day items) at the bottom of each product page. So after adding Ryeway To Heaven to my cart, I could see a link for Mineshaft Gap on that page.

December 7th, 2020, a date which will live in infamy”.

All kidding aside, yes thought the sale would be at 10 per usual, not surprised it went quickly.

Will fight the “general population” folks in the prison yard tomorrow for a box.

This happened to me earlier this year. Can't remember what release but I was shocked. I ended getting what I wanted in the public sale but vowed to pounce on those presale emails immediately after they come out.

I believe Supermassive was the one that sold out for VIP’s, or at least the second wave of emails that went out

Thundertaker also sold through it's VIP allocation, although that might have been smaller too based on the amount going to Binnys

That was it. Supermassive. Cafe Deth is one of my favorite releases by any brewery every year and I remember being heartbroken when Supermassive presale sold out super fast. Turns out I liked regular old Cafe Deth better anyway lol. Still got a 4 pack of Supermassive I need to do something with.

The pre-sale emails for these Deep Woods releases have all been going out at like 8:30am. Think the public on sales have been happening around 9am.

Will an amount of crowlers (the one released today, that is) be available for public tomorrow or are those likely gone via the pre-sale?!
