Have a good Monday. Awesome tripel, first trying Taxman, got them in Indy a few months ago. Lasting head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, red apple, coriander, peppercorn, light banana/bubblegum/clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; yeast spiciness, and light wheat/yeast tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness. No hop astringency. Mild increasing warmth of 8.5%. Smooth drinking. Spot on style, 4.13

Good day BAs! Another chilly morning with possible precipitation on tap for later. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Haven't had this classic bottle for many years.

And by the taste of it, it will be many more years before I again drink it.

Just outstanding RIS. I have to admit that I hunted these all over town. Need to get a nap in before tonight's shift.

Cheers all and enjoy your Monday!

Somewhat chilly (60°) rainy/misty morning for walking the dogs...morning chores done, must be coffee time:

Bottled 11/5/20. Poured at 52°. Strong roast coffee in this batch. I likey!

More wrapping and boxing and shipping on tap today; but not feeling particularly enthusiastic given cool damp weather. Hope your day is sunny and full of good cheer!

Worked over night, so home relaxing. Cracked this Double mmm ... fruit dream from Other Half in Brooklyn, NY, as Berliner Weisse style Ale with Guava, Strawberry, and Coconut. I have never had a "double" sour (of which I know), but color me impressed. Absolutely delicious with the fruit elements, tart acidity, sweetness, and funk all coalescing into a beautiful olfactory/gustatory experience.

Pacific Rangers. Fresh Double IPA from Uiltje (Haarlem, NL).

Meanwhile cooking a dish from Surinam (North coast of Latin America). It is like a chicken potato curry served with a lentil burrito.

New Amsterdam (Now New York) was traded for the colony of Surinam with the British years ago. There was not much choice. Dutch were kicked out more or less. I was amazed to see old Amsterdam style buildings in the Wall Street area some years ago.

If not for those Brits, everyone in the US would be speaking Dutch now

    Cheers all!

Just did two online grocery orders to cover us over the holiday period. One from more of a gourmet shop and the other from a general grocery store. A lot of stuff was listed as low stock, so not sure if people are hoarding, if the supply chain is starting to show some cracks, or if it’s just a holiday thing.

Starting off the day with Rogue Coast Haste Imperial Hazy IPA. This one is really growing on me. I may order some more, as it’s a seasonal release and will be gone soon. Cheers. [IMG]
