I priced it out too, and if my math is right, that's $13.25 per four pack of 16 oz. cans. Their other dark lager (their Schwarz) is currently...$13 for a four pack.

Cool to see they kept pricing consistent. They could have easily price gouged on this one and no one would have noticed.

How long does one of these mini-kegs stay fresh once you start pouring? I’ve never had beer from one of these.

It was asked on Instagram which I see you replied to.

It’s been awhile since I’ve purchased one, but if I recall you might get 2-3 days out of it, with diminishing carbonation over those few days.

If I recall correctly it’s basically an open beer can, since it’s not CO2 driven like an actual keg.

@SunDevilBeer you buy those Hofbrau mini kegs often, how long do those usually last for you?

Regarding volume, it’s the equivalent of about 14 12 oz. beers, or 10.5 16 oz. cans. That kind of factored into my decision not to get one since I already have other beer and I’d be virtually the only one drinking it this weekend.

I remember having a Molson Canadian mini keg in college and felt like it lasted for a week or more with carb. But we’re talking 17 years ago now.

Those German mini-kegs are good for 3-4 days once tapped.

Nice, I’ll be in the area this weekend. I’ll be purchasing at least a four pack of each.

    Great set of releases.

Is it order before Thursday or by a certain time on Thursday?

I had to pick up a gift at Andover Classic Wines yesterday and browsed the beer section. Good, but I'm so uninspired by "shelf beer" these days. It's all just the same melange of colorful cans of IPA, some names I know, many I don't (it really is no wonder why Allagash is such a major part of my buying).

And so I am thinking I might do another Notch case.

Had a similar experience when I was up. Definitely would've liked to make more trips to breweries during my trip up there, but taking precautions whenever possible with travel. Only made trip to the local beer store to pick up Heady, Focal, and Benevolence.

EDIT: And I already had a Notch shipment at home..

I was just checking my Redstone twitter feed and I was scrolling through tweets of posts about IPAs, some of which are from breweries I’ve never heard of.

And I got to thinking, “How many breweries do we need that are loaded with beers with dumb IPAs names? Or dumb kettle sour names? Or dumb pastry stout names?”

And therefore, I’m placing an order with Notch tonight.

I was disappointed to learn the $14 is only on the three four-packs. Last time I ordered that wasn’t the case. I’ll do it, but not this weekend (but before the rauchbier is done). Maybe I’ll take a ride. I’ve got some Suarez on the way — and a full wine rack. I’ve got options.

And...ordered a case for the third time, don't judge me! Been tempted to take a trip to treehouse, but getting Notch shipped to my for the basically the same price is too dang tempting.

Went 2x desitka, 1x each tenner, tmavy, biersal, and see you on the other side. Was torn about whether to grab the standard...

So fucked up that I have the best access to world class beer while living thorough the shittiest time ever.

The $14 flat rate was a two week promo. We are now working on a special price for case shipments, news soon. Thanks!

Wasn’t so much of a lasting deterrent than a, “This might be better in a couple weeks as a ‘Christmas gift to me’” statement. I was being prudent!
