OG Partridge in a Pear Tree is up in the store as part of the 12 Days sale for anyone that needs it to complete a set ($88 before discount). More Black Tuesday boxes and lots of stouts too.

I’d be too afraid to drop that much on a beer that could likely be way over oxidized now. But man, it would be fun to try.

Agreed. The coffee has smoothed out a bit, and it's even better than when it was fresh (which was also amazing). Not sure what the base beer is there, but I wish they used it more.

Odd choice to scale up Baklava Tart. I agree that it wasn't good, and I don't think it had a great reception overall.

If there was ever a beer I’d pay money to try again for nostalgia purposes.... it would be OG Black Tuesday from 2009. I had the first batch at gabf Denver, 2009? It was kind of a milestone for me. Became my #1 favorite beer for quite some time.

I honestly didn't realize that said "tart" and now I'm really disappointed. A stout with all that in it sounds incredible, a tart beer with that in it sounds like Byzantine Vision. I'm not down with that.

Oh man, I just had the same thing happen to me. Sounds like a great stout!

Initially I was a little bummed that this appeared to be hoarders only. Now... not so much. Thanks for cheering me up! haha

Damn the 3L bottle is massive! But have to say I’m pretty impressed with For A Spell. Pretty solid BA stout, way better then SHIT.

Drinking an OG BA 8 Maids this evening. It's good... not great... this is the first time I've had it (picked up in archive sale last year).

Smooth, mellow, has held up well as far as I can tell in that it doesn't seem oxidized or anything. I was kinda meh on regular 8 Maids too for what it's worth. Worth trying as a completist, but no real reason to get more if it shows up fo sale next week.

Definitely had to pick up a bottle of the 18 BT Reserve. I've had 1 bottle I had to buy in a package deal but never wanted to open it. Looks like I'll be opening it soon now

OG Partridge and Three French Hens are the two I’m missing from the original, set. Saw Partridge yesterday and didn’t even think of dropping the $88 on it. Won’t get the Three French Hens tomorrow if it comes up either. I must be growing up.

A little bit off topic but possibly related, so I hope you guys won’t mind.
I just got an email from Firestone Walker saying the 2021 Invitational Beerfest is postponed until 2022. Tickets can be kept or refunds can be had.

I’ve got the old 3 French hens and would be down to make a trade for a BT variant

Thanks for the offer. I really appreciate it but I’m going to take a pass. A couple of years ago I would have jumped but I don’t find myself as interested in completing the set as much as I did. Thanks again!

Anyone pick up anything from the 12 Days Sale yet? Any thing you guys want to see come back on sale?

Nothing yet. The daily sales are definitely more fun than getting a huge dump all at once though.

I might consider either Golden Rings if they come up.

It was interesting seeing a couple solo Hoarder Box bottles today... I'm excited for this month's box and would likely grab other single clean beers if they were from boxes I hadn't tried yet (or ones I tried and liked).

Otherwise I don't know what I don't know... Like just how deep in the archive are you dipping? If there were Melange 10 or 12 I think they would pique my interest... Or maybe a Sucre Port or Cognac or Brandy that wasn't in a bundle, because I've never tried those but don't need eight more Sucres.
    Geriatric Hipster Club?
    Hoarder Cuvee 2016?
    Ride That Goat?

This is my third Hoarder year though, so I'm not really expecting to see anything pop up that hasn't come up during that period. I assume the older stuff is long gone.

Any Smoking Wood or Smokey & the Bois still hidden around there? Colonel Kernel? BA Share This? Also, I'll second Ride the Goat!
