Recommendations on the ultimate gift beer

    My brother in law is a huge rare beer guy and every year I hunt him down a great beer as a gift. Now, I am not a rare beer connoisseur, but I do have have some decent research skills so I have not been totally in the dark, but was hoping this group might have some recommendations. What your ultimate gift beer would be? Last year I got him a 2019 Mornin' Delight. I have a Loadstar to trade, so my price range may be higher this year. And if he is reading this post he needs to stop it and go away.

    Purely from the 'gift' standpoint, I'd say Sam Adams Utopias.

    I understand that Blessed from Anchorage is pretty good.

    Good for you for going to such lengths for your BIL, hope he appreciates your efforts!

    Has he had Loadstar? That seems like a pretty awesome gift/share! What styles does he like and is he on BA?

    If he likes sours a collection of the '______ion' beers from Russian River would be great, or a case of Pliny or Blind Pig would thrill me.

    Thank you! I agree, and that is my fallback plan, but since we live close he has had a lot of Dark Lord. He is an IPA guy, but he likes the big stouts I buy him too.

    Oddly enough, my sister got me a Corsendonk 750 for the holidays last year. Won't be getting anything this year. That sign must be broken because I really love Corsendonk and when I look in the mirror I never see enlightened. I didn't see that twist-ending coming at all though... their presence feels low these days. When I got that gift, I was thinking: "What amazing luck, they don't even know my beer tastes beyond 'he likes beer.'" They must have seen this sign and wrongly assumed I was enlightened or something.
