Do another victory lap on the Fox Farm thread and order Suarez for home delivery.

For those wondering about a “line” for a certain price point: here’s a great example.

I have zero desire to pay EB fees for this, especially when it’s bound to hang around.

Yet again: more proof that demand (or lack thereof) is a factor in pricing.

Back to more direct beer discussion.

I've tried several times to point out how Sunday Brunch this year is significantly cheaper per ounce than it was last year, so I'll just leave it at that...

I mainly just wanted to pop in now and say that Side Project's shop is currently charging $100 for a single bottle of non-barrel aged coffee stout + a single bottle of Belgian witbier.

    Today I learned:
    • SBX is coming to Wegmans! An amazing, delicious beer for a good price and in a reasonable format as well. Can’t wait to buy some on Monday.
    • The “ignore” function is a great feature. It’s the first time I’ve ever had to use it in my 14+ years of slaughtering cave trolls/clowns, but it seems to be working great. :hugging:

This plays into it for me as well, but personally I just hate the serving format/packaging (500ml bottles) and the overall price. 95¢ per oz sounds good on paper, but if this were packaged in 16oz 4-packs (which is basically industry-standard at this point) that works out to ~$60.80 (!) per 4-pack, which is pretty absurd IMO. Even more so when you consider other non-BA/adjunct imperial stout pricing from other breweries of equal/greater caliber:

    • Tired Hands Only Void (Coffee) - $26/4-pack 16oz cans [$0.38 per oz]
    • Tree House Nervous Energy - $21.20/4-pack 16oz cans [$0.33 per oz]
    • Tree House Double Shot (Espesso) - $8.55/16 oz can [$0.53 per oz]
    • Tree House Impermanence - $34.20/4-pack [$0.53 per oz]

I could keep going, but I’m too lazy. $0.95 per oz just isn’t a very great deal, (and I stress) in my opinion. Personally I think if Kane really wants to hold onto their reasonable 95¢/oz price point, I think they should look into those 8oz pony cans, put ‘em 4-packs and charge $30.40....I still probably wouldn’t buy any (they’re a bit too far from me), but I’d dig that format better, personally.

They are actually charging $50 for the package. Not arguing one way or the other, just correcting the price.

That's my bad, I have no idea how I had 2 packs in my cart. Still, CSV is a monster of a beer and SP charges and forces you to buy whatever they want along with it, bc they can.
And honestly, that definitely is a personal preference if you're willing to settle. If you can get Tired Hands or Tree House at cost, by all means go for it, but those specific beers simply don't hold a candle to Sunday Brunch. I love them, certainly, but Sunday Brunch is in another realm.

I'm disappointed you didn't mention Other Half again, since you'd previously held them up as a point of comparison for some unknown reason, considering their comparable beers are priced substantially higher. For me, they are far inferior a brewery than the 3 others mentioned here, personally.

Switching gears, how's the 2020 ANTEAD base? I'm gonna pop one next Sunday for my bday, but just wanted to hear preliminary opinions.

I still have a bottle of 2019 NYE Maple ANTEAD but I'm gonna leave it be.

I thought it was great, has a surprising amount of flavor for the low ABV, would love drinking this in the summer. Def grab if you enjoy HH.

SBX is great, when the first released it as Imperial Sneakbox I was blown away and I make sure to grab some whenever it is out. This batch is great, although I will say the single can I had was after a Waist High, a Cookie Jar Superstar and a strong cocktail I made, so I may need to give a more sober review ha

I had one and my wife had two this weekend. We both thought it’s really good. I’d rather have a Head High but it was a well made session version. Probably my favorite canned beer from them recently has been Hollow Sea. Really tasty - had my second to last can while watching the Giants suck ass yesterday.

Yeah, can't say enough good things about Hollow Sea. Wish I had picked up more of it.

This years base is really solid.
I was part of a share that had the whole set. This years set was in my opinion their best year. Which makes me more annoyed i missed out on landing a set

SBX never showed up at my local Wegmans which is a kind of a bummer but I did grab some Waist High though. That is one damn tasty pale ale/session IPA/whatever you wanna call it. I think I’d definitely snag some of these over Head High if I’m hitting the beach on a hot summers day
