I'm very nervous to answer this question... do my feet get run over with a stroller if I answer incorrectly?

It's definitely sweet and on the lower end of the "with gas" spectrum. I think the adjuncts (while fresh) add enough so they're more than just sweet.

If they do, it would be by your own kind, people in Brooklyn don't talk like they're in Brooklyn no more.

Free shipping today suckered me into the J. Wakefield pack. Here's hoping the snowbirds don't taste anything close to the sweetness of a Deep Orbit. One of the Deep Orbits was on Tavour the other day, and I was like no fucking way, not going to get me again.

    But they did.

ACE drop in southern NJ. Tasty. Some actual bitterness (may trend a little towards green/sharp, but at least it's not melon). Not overly sweet. Aroma was strong. Overall reminded me of fresh ACE at the taproom a year or so ago. Maybe nostalgia. Rare nice surprise given suburban life during this pandemic. Hopefully @rozzom got some to treat his suburban ennui.

It's funny. I just joined BA recently, so didn't know the reputation about it, but after the Freaky Friday drop where they made GN's Super Ripe-- which was super melon-forward-- I felt like a bunch of other OH IPA I had was loaded with it. Mylar Bags, JFK Canceled Flight, others too. But ACE made it through melon free!

My palate with IPAs isn't very exact, so it's reassuring to hear that others feel the same way.

It's funny, I've probably mentioned it, but I don't mind it, sometimes. Green power the first time around was probably the first beer they made with it, and it was tasty/novel. I just think it makes their beers all too similar, despite making so many "different" IPAs. I'd be interested to see them go back to more classic flavor profile at least a little more often. I get things generally are all trending lighter/sweeter but hop showers and the occasional core beer shouldn't be the only beers that taste remotely like the stuff I had out of the old taproom, or even the initial stuff I was having out of the new one (ironically I think opening week for the new taproom was that melon green power...)

Some mylar dropping in southern NJ. Any opinions on recent batches? Anyone who tries any today, opinions appreciated. It's been my white whale, only having ever had the HDHC. Note:I definitely don't mind bitter/dank.

Thanks! If these are there still Friday I will prob grab them and try em out, sounds similar to what I thought when SB3 came out. It was def sweet but the adjuncts were there and not just adding another layer of sweetness only

Glad they're making beer more accessible through shipping but does it seem like inventory of shipment options is kind of low? I feel like every time I check in, they've sold out very quickly. I'm not even talking these hype stouts. Just the IPAs.

It was up til Wednesday (the last day to order) last week, I believe. This week sold out quickly due to the stouts and the week before last probably due to pent-up demand from not having a shipment during Thanksgiving. It wouldn't surprise me if Christmas and New Years weeks go quickly, though.

In my experience - AS A SUBURBANITE - the half case goes quickly because people don't want to automatically be dropping a c-note on a fixed selection of beers. But the full case usually lasts as long as the ordering window is open.

Half case also goes quickly because that's all that's allowed in PA.

That makes more sense. Dumb of me to ascribe conscientious budgeting / rigid self control to my fellow nerds.
