Agreed. DDH Oblivex, while very good, didn’t improve on the original as much as the others. Opted to grab the DDH Punge this time instead of Mago, the last batch was just so good.

DDH punge is really, really good. Punge is my favorite IPA/DIPA they make, so I was skeptical myself going in. And it delivers.

Great to hear . . . I have three 4-packs coming, plus one of Mago Tago.

DDH Alien Church (Citra+Galaxy) is really, really good.

I agree. Out of all of the variants so far I think the original (Citra + Galaxy) is the best

So, I don't know if it was due to the Galaxy hopping, but I wasn't a huge fan of this DDH Punge. It certainly wasn't an improvement over the standard version, which I hope they make available again soon. Mago Tago, on the other hand, blew me away. I wish I had ordered the exact opposite ratio to DDH Punge that I did.

So as noted above, the first can of DDH Punge I had was awesome. That was the Saturday after thanksgiving. But when I had one on Friday (six days later) I thought it was just decent. I think this one fell off pretty hard in the second week.

All I want for Christmas is regular Punge and Oblivex. (Wouldn't mind Daily Personal Best, either. I (over)drank the hell out of the last batch.)

    Eyyy,

Not sure how many Lancaster County people lurk/post here but we just announced we'll be doing a "mobile can sale" of sorts out yr way at The Fridge in Lancaster next Saturday 12/19.

We're pushing for pre-orders which will be available starting next Wed at 11a and close that Friday night. No minimums, if we have it for sale at the Ferm it'll be available for ya to order via the Dudley Direct site =)

This is the first time we're doing something like this...hopefully it goes well! We'd love to make it a monthly thing, if not in Lancaster, than some other spots in the state as well...

    Thanks for listening <3

If anyone purchases IOUNNO (12oz pastry stout cans), please post here with your review. Thanks in advance.

I just picked up some. I’ll let you know later this evening. I gotta say: what a killer price for a 14% abv BA pastry stout...$32 per 4 pack of 12oz cans (that’s $0.67/oz for you Pride Police out there patrolling the forums [credit @KingforaDay for that one ]

As an aside: the difference in snow on the other side of the River is pretty staggering. Flakes are much larger than here and I’m only ~7 miles away from Fishtown as the crow flies.

Yeah, the snow/mix/rain line is always something when winter storms come to the area. I can't remember when the "I-95 corridor" became a 'thing' for weather forecasting but I now hear that terminology used a lot.

    Cheers!

I am always hesitant to purchase any kind of beer with banana in it. To me, it always have an "off" flavor profile. However, outside of Only Void and a few other stouts, I have not really tried much stout from THBC.

I was hearing the line between rain/snow transition was right at I-95!

I notice that the weather reporters on The Weather Channel reference interstates and route numbers often to describe the path of a storm.

Hoping these new beers last until tomorrow, lots to like about this this one (big stout in 12 oz cans, reasonably priced considering) even if the banana always makes me skeptical as well. Excited to hear that this is a series in case I miss this one too. Let's hope it ends up as more of a "series" than Heavy Gem or some of Tired Hands's other discontinued projects!

Maybe they were the reason why the local stations (3, 6 and 10) weather people picked up on this?

    Cheers!

Pretty sure it’ll last. Looks like it’s still available as of right now.

He mentioned on IG that it was the first in a series of “barrel blended imperial pastry stouts” so it sounds like it’ll best a recurring thing (he also shouts out some great breweries that inspired him....troon, side project, private press). Exciting news indeed.

Does this set a 'record' for Tired Hands in terms of pricing? Have they charged more in the past?

    Cheers!

They once had an IPA called "Plush Life" that sold at $27.00 per 4 pack (16 oz cans). I remember there was a lot of grumbling over this price.

I was just thinking about you, Henok Fentie, I believe sold for $14.00 per can (16oz).

Check the Kane thread...well, what wasn’t deleted I guess. Pricing was very much a topic recently in there.

No, not really. Like @jts211 mentioned, they sold a single 16oz can of imperial stout for $14 plus tax.

And also like @jonphisher had mentioned, go ahead and try bringing up pricing on the Kane thread and see how far you get. I double dare ya. Apparently $16 for a 500ml bottle of imperial adjunct stout is, in fact, an amazing deal and if you think otherwise you’re just a simple-minded fool...“And that’s the bottom line, because the crying clown says so!”
