My first Abrasive in forever.

Yea, I’m one of those, I think this was a better beer many many years ago. The nose then was perhaps the most pungent on earth, the taste followed.

Ok, this is still a very good beer, still worth a buy, canned on 11/4. It’s just not the shining star that it was, and ya I know palates change, but the nose is completely different as well. $18.50 out the door.

If your in NC and you see it buy it, it’s worth checking out for yourself.

 

@TheIPAHunter got to be honest,couldn't get it out of my head what you wrote the other night.-couldnt remember breaking up-if i recall. None of my business but maybe her coming back is a chance to talk with clear heads.

Same seat in the airport different beer. I have one of these quite often when I come through CLT. Also got a taste of WW Pernicious on the side that I didn’t ask for but hey, free beer.

 

Sad post today, first this is my last Permanent Funeral and second though more important, it was announced 3 Floyds is closing their taproom permanently. It was probably my favorite brewery taproom among the dozens I have visited over the years, and will be missed by the thousands who enjoyed going there over the past two decades.

 

I'm having a Christmas beer now. Fegley's Brew Works Rude Elf's Reserve. Good god, that's a lot of cinnamon. And a whole lot of other Christmastime spices as well. Ginger (or at least gingerbread) is the secondary spice. For a beer with no head, it is somehow leaving decent lacing. I looked up my previous review and I have it a 4.06. I must've been drunk. This is a 3.5 beer with the overwhelming Christmas spices.

It's cold and windy here. Spent the morning shoveling snow, this Brooklyn BCS hits the spot.

 

I'm off work tomorrow, but have a chance wind down a little early today. It's about 36 degrees F here in North Georgia for a high today. Very unusual for this time of year even. Seemed like a good time for a "winter warmer", this 12% abv Monday Night Brewing Last Will & Testament. It's a Bourbon Barrel Aged English Old Ale. Real dark, heavy and mouth-coating.
