Just a couple of Boulevard Pale Ale's, because that is all my sister has to offer. Not bad, but I wish it was Sierra Nevada. Wish I could post picks, have been missing the last couple of weeks, because I can't figure out how to upload picture onto photobucket off of my Iphone. Shitttt

On Black Friday Weyerbacher released their one time only brew, "Yankee", an American Strong Ale. I was really bummed because I love their beer and we were going to be away in Indiana for Thanksgiving (besides seeing family it also turned into a big beer run). My neighbor was nice enough to go to the release day for me and pick up a case and being a fan of Weyerbacher beers and strong ales, I wanted a case (because I expected it to sell out). When we got home I was anxious to try it, cracked open a bottle, and it took me 30 minutes to get through half the bottle while the rest went down the drain; whatta downer and there was no way I was going to drink the rest of the case. I e-mailed Weyerbacher and explained the situation and asked if it were even a remote possibility to bring the case back so it doesn't go to waste and pay the difference for something else. Bill from Weyerbacher got back to me and had no problem at all swapping it out for a case of similar value so I went with the Simcoe, one of my Weyerbacher favorites. Weyerbacher was not obligated to swap any beer out and after all, how many times have all of us made a beer purchase and didn't enjoy it? When that happens, I chalk that up as my own problem and move on. A similar thing happened about (5) years ago but in that situation, it was a skunked case. Weyerbacher went above and beyond and it's the small things like this that go a long, long way with customer loyalty.

To everyone, I apologize for the long story; to fmccormi: dude, you asked! Ha! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmmm. I don't remember that scene from Dr. Strangelove. I was also unaware they released Dr. Strangelove in color.

Don't do what? Quote Walter Sobchak or drink hop rod rye? Too late on both. Just having a good time and doing nothing to knock an actual vietnam war veteran. Can we please take it easy?
