Has anyone been successful in adding to an already existing delivery order. See they just released imagined reality galaxy ipa in the shop Instagram photo. I emailed them to see if possible to add a 4pack and charge the same card. That was one I had been hoping to get my hands on. Hope so, but if not I’ll have to get it the next go around, although I don’t think they release it very regularly.

Bad Wallpaper is a fantastic DIPA. Has all the big, bold citrus flavors with actual bitterness on the back end. You won’t be disappointed.

I just cracked a can of Courage, My Love and boy is this beer delicious!

Chiming in here since a couple of you correctly noted that there is a premium on these variety packs. If you're interested, we can shed some light on our rationale...

First, as a frame of reference, we try to keep our standard 4-packs and cases as inexpensive as possible for our standard pricing. Plus, we offer 5% cashback for all customers that sign up for our rewards program (most of our regulars), as well as another 5% for our subscription products. We can do that since we have some economies of scale, as a result of these products being relatively turnkey for us to manage. Internally, we rationalize it as being the same as a buyback in our brewpub (something we think is a dying art in the hospitality world).

While we're still learning a lot about ecommerce, from a supply chain perspective, variety packs add a number of complexities and costs for us, from physically breaking up packs to managing & tracking that inventory online across locations & delivery methods. Still, enough customers asked for them that we thought it was worthwhile, albeit at a higher price tag to cover our increased labor and systems costs.

So far, we've sold a slew of these, so it does seem like many of our fans are interested. For those that aren't, we're maintaining our price points on the typical configurations. It's also worth noting that we did a fair amount of research before launching this product and our bundles are market competitive (if not more inexpensive) to other comparable services.

Either way, we truly do appreciate the feedback and are committed to offering the best rates we can, while maintaining our very high product and service levels. We will also do our very best to be transparent - both about what we're doing and why.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to post here or share privately with us at info at threesbrewing.com.

    Cheers.

Well I love the idea and appreciate the difficulty in packaging 12 different beers. I'm sure lots of people are getting them and I'm close and may weaken as time goes along. I'm in Morris County Jersey and the only beers I've seen out here are vliet, logical conclusion, and chronic myopia. Would love to see more distribution particularly of the wide variety of lagers you make. Think your beers rock and would be great if we out west had more access to them. Cheers and happy holidays

    We appreciate that.

We're working with distributors in each market who give us guidance on what to send where. Typically, we're sending the flagships (Vliet and Logical) plus 1-2 other rotating styles each month. From what our NJ distributor has shared, most folks in Jersey want big, hoppy beers, not lagers. Of course, we want everyone to want more lager beer! We'll do our best to spread them around

BTW, if you're looking for variety, you can buy direct from our website too.

The mixed pack is definitely cheaper per can than if you were to go to a shop in Brooklyn and buy a bunch of single cans. I personally want at least 4 of each of their beers anyways. It sometimes takes a couple cans to get to know a beer and get the full picture of what it offers and nuanced that you might miss. As your palate shifts from day to day and the many different factors that can effect the drinking experience I rarely am a single can kinda guy - but I can see the draw for some people. For example, on my most recent visit to tired hands I got a variety of 4 packs, including one 4 pack of hop hands, and while I was more than happy with what I had, I almost wish I just got a full case of hop hands because i love that beer so much and it’s the kind of beer that can be simple or complex depending on what your looking for.I feel the same way every time I get a single 4 pack of a threes lager too. I think my plan is to drink through the entire portfolio by getting a mixed case once a month until I eventually get to the point where I just buy full cases of vliet for the rest of my life haha.

Know there's already been a chorus of these posts but I just want to add one more to say how great Threes has been with both delivery and shipping. I've done both having recently moved from NYC to NJ and can say that they were equally seamless. The $9 flat shipping is amazing and makes me much more likely to reorder more frequently. And the cherry on top is just how fast they get the stuff to you. I ordered Thurs night and the beers are already in my fridge. Barely a day longer than local delivery might have been is super impressive. Cheers to you guys and thanks for being so efficient and customer friendly.

Well, it seems everyone’s everywhere is looking for big hoppy beers, but I can assure you there are also many of us in NJ who also love lagers and would love to see more Threes lagers without having to pay the bridge tolls.

My guess is, if you have a liquor store that you see Three's IPAs at, you could ask them to order some pilsner/lager, and I'd bet they'd get it. However they might make you commit to buying a case or something to that effect. That or get some friends in on it. I'm with you that I'd sooner buy some Vliet over the IPAs, mostly because nobody else around South NJ is making anything like it consistently and as well, whereas there are a million new England IPAs. Only place making lagers consistently is Tonewood, and I feel like the availability is a bit cyclical.

@stairway2heavn @DrStiffington feel free to pass on the names of your favorite spots and we'll see what we can do about getting a regular supply of Vliet and whatever other lagers we're shipping out of state.

Well I frequent many spots but my go to is Wegmans in Bridgewater. I definitely buy Vliet as part of my regular rotation. I’ve had all of your canned lagers at some point and I’m happy to get any and all you can send to NJ.

appreciation post for threes tasting notes. They offer some of the coolest and funnest tasting notes. They are sometimes very specific and oddly accurate. Whoever comes up with them is a genius. Are they employing the same taste note master as tired hands?

Dug into imagined reality last night. It really delivers on the liquid candy aspect. Halfway through the can I referred to their tasting notes. It may be power of suggestion but I felt like I picked up on the strawberry daiquiri/pink starburst notes. I could have never pinpointed it myself.

Off first impression bad wallpaper leaned a little sweet and candy like as well. Someone on here mentioned getting bitterness off of it, but I did not really perceive any. Threes offered a citrus pith note, but for me the citrus quality came off a little different. My mind was going back and forth between an orange marmalade (maybe the citrus hops playing off the English malt) and orange cotton candy. I was struggling to find the guava note until I moved my mind away from actual real guava fruit and more into a quince paste guava note.

Just cracked my first yclept and... damn that’s good. Question regarding the beer and the hops. On the current threes store it says it’s hopped with hellertau mittelfruh. When I did a google search and pulled up a different link on the threes website (maybe not current) it listed the 3 modern German hops: hull melon, mandarina Bavaria, and hellertau blanc. It also listed some completely different tasting notes.

I’m guessing it’s the current one listed on the store and based on my palate, which is not so expert by any means, leans more towards those notes. It’s a toss go though - the one lists tangerine zest and the other lists floral citrus zip.

anyone know if this recipe has changed and is now static, or if the hops change/rotate?

just curious, but nonetheless it’s delicious.

Looks like Suffolk based on the construction company area code but they could have just been hired.

Hope it is somewhere near a train that doesnt require a transfer at Jamaica (so basically anywhere on the Long Beach line or Babylon line!)
