I know they’re maybe not the most active brewery, but I’ve really liked everything I’ve had from these folks. who’s had the Push The Sky Away? I love all the musical references in the beer names, and Nick Cave alone has me tempted on this one.
I've really enjoyed Small Change's Dark Mild when I've been able to find it. And the Porter is good too.
The Dark Mild is all I've had from them. I really dig that they have this in their regular rotation, just wish they would date the cans. Completely forgot they're in Somerville until this thread.
considering how far into the mud some of these other threads go, this seemed like the best avenue... and I still don't have an answer, hahah
It's just gonna get locked in 12 days, so you'll just need to start another thread then. I am all for starting threads about breweries you are passionate about. It is part of being an Advocate. I've only had A Little Rain and I dug it. Need to try their other offerings.
picked this up tonight, pretty solid mild and I’m definitely pumped to have more English styles available fresh locally. Speaking of local, has anyone had Burke’s Alewerks ESB out of Hanover? Saw it but didn’t have a chance to pull the trigger today. And it’s cool that small change is in Somerville, but looks like they brew out of Great North in NH fwiw.
I've had everything by them, they're mostly good but their IPAs are just kinda "solid" recently. The dark mild and A Little Rain were dope. My review for Push the Sky Away is the only one up right now, hope some more people write about them because they do deserve the exposure.
I saw Night Windows, which is the Robust Porter by Small Change today (canning date 10/12/20), so I picked it up. Tasty beer at 6.3%. I love seeing dark beers in the 4-6% range.
