obviously been preparing for it for a while now but as the date gets closer and closer it hits harder and harder how much not being able to celebrate the tasting room’s anniversary this year sucks. one of the best days of the year every year.

 

12/16 came and went. Another blue wax tease, yet no grisette. I feel trolled.

MJK sometime in the next 18 months

 

MJK is probably ready by now. The DB version was blended into Gabe almost a year ago now.

MJK was first brewed three years ago at this point.

 

I was being a bit snarky saying 18 months, but I can't imagine it's any closer than 3-4 months and I would bet more. Unless they're being extra secretive, it still needs bottling, labels, wax, QC, bottle conditioning, and probably steps I am either forgetting about or don't know about.

EDIT: Another thought, what if they decide to hold the release until it's safe to open the Brewery taproom and the Cellar. With the vaccines getting rolled out, you'd think by maybe the summer and certainly the fall, they could be back open normal-ish.

 

i thought i heard somewhere that it should be released for current LC members (2020 members) and since that usually has gone from March to Feb of the next year I'd think they're likely on target to release within the next couple of months. Here's hoping <3

 

I hadn't heard that(or have forgotten), but it certainly wouldn't shock me.

 

The box post is as much teasing as any other tease. You’re probably right about the timeline but it’s not like SP is constantly posting labeling updates of every beer.

 

Most of their teases are references to bottling/waxing/racking some unknown beer. Just go back through this thread to find plenty of speculation from said teases. DBA was teased with the gold wax 5 months before its release.

 

Sure, but none of those give a time frame to release. Some bottles release without any tease at all.


But a mountain of boxes would be the last step, I would think.
