Deschutes Black Butte XXV best after 06/10/14. I concur! Sweet dark fruit up front followed by slightly tart cherry and warming heat in the finish. Perfect on a cold windy day.

Keeping the beverages light for now, in anticipation of several heavy dessert Christmas stouts in the queue for the next few days

Looks amazing and a great choice of beer!! Have you had Pub 99 hot buttered lobster roll? It's our first stop off the plane in Manchester, across from the mall. Enjoy and happy holidays!

A solid Russian Imperial Stout, probably brewed by a Russian in St. Petersburg Russia, who'da thunk it. I can just see Vlad Pukin sitting by the fireplace with his lap dog sipping one of these.
As that great American philosopher one said, "enjoy what's in your glass"!. Cheers!

Haven't heard of or been to Pub 99. Don't get out to Manchester much honestly. There are a lot of good lobster rolls in MA and New England, just depends on where you are and what is a decent value. Kelly's gives you a good amount of lobster for $20, some of the other people around try to charge $25-30 and might not even give you as much lobster. Once again, I don't think Kelly's is the absolute best, but one of the first around here, a classic and a tradition, and damn good. Glad they are still hanging in there. Cheers!
Thank you sir! glad you enjoy it

I think I am going to get drunk and make poutine tonight. One time I made it and I didn't have any fries so I used onion rings instead and that brings it to the next level. I already made the gravy yesterday so when I say I "make poutine" I mean I have to reheat leftovers. But they are going to be fucking awesome. Next beer coming soon folks.

When my grandfather in prison in Massachusetts they use to feed him to lobster. Back then (~1947) lobster was considered poor people food and essentially bottom of the barrel culinary wise.

Closing my beer day and outside time for a few days as Winter will make it's presence known tomorrow, with my Revolution Brewing Riot, a Bohemian Keller Pils.

Hope everyone traveling arrives safely, and all have a nice celebration the next two days.

Yeah I've heard that, it's pretty funny. What used to be peasant food is now considered a luxury by most. I enjoy lobster, mostly just the claws and tails, and I'll eat it anytime it is offered, whether the poor or the rich want it. Cheers brother!

Landgang Pils is advent beer #23. It's a pretty good pilsner, just a bit too sweet.

You are so lucky. I could hate you for this. Just kidding. I am just envious, that's all.

Nice glass too by the way.

What a nice start to the Holidays  Cheers!
