Well, my local Catsup Artisan uses only local tomatoes, and makes great stuff, but, he hasn't had his fedora cleaned in 10 years. I think the fedora sweat is his secret ingredient. So, I limit my purchases.

This thread helped me to realize something that kind of blew my mind, I've always considered lagunitas an IPA factory type brewery. But I used to not think of stone that way. I had forgotten, I guess. But I used to experience stone very similar to the way I experience Sierra Nevada now. And Sierra Nevada is heading the way of stone now. And lagunitas is making an easy top 10 ba stout of the year for me and it's cheaper than most local beers. Weird times

Not buying one beer, but buying the one next to it on the shelf, is social justice for warriors who prefer their outrage not have any consequences, nor require effort or sacrifice.

Okay, I can respect that. But there are a lot of people here who won't buy beer they bought yesterday because suddenly someone elae now owns it. Yet they still purchase from big companies for everything else in their life.

If you can, please, pretty please, do a 2021 one-hitter and re-release High-Westified. It was the best BA beer you ever did IMO. And it was affordable. You simply couldn't beat the price point for such an incredible BA beer.

I know. But since this is a "Dear Lagunitas" thread, I thought I may as well make a request to work out some kind of agreement in 2021 in the interest of the craft beer community who really loved that beer

Their Willetized stout is the best bang for your buck out there for barrel aged stouts. $12 a four pack!

Not to start a political shit storm here by saying my friends and I have been handcuffed for opposing certain things a certain way. I know it’s nothing to brag about and is instead just a sad world where human rights are ignored was the short straw that story. Anyways. I don’t not want to get into a who’s right who’s wrong thing...point is that if beer is the biggest issue to be worried about I think we have it good. I know you know my friend. Lol. :beers:

I absolutely have no problem with people doing as their conscience dictates. I would think there is no need to advertise tiny acts, such as walking to avoid stepping on ants, or picking one beer off a shelf and not the one next to it.

Ballast Point was sold to another company in Chicago called Kings & Convicts Brewery. Constellation which used to own Ballast Point owns High West. They are not owned by the same company anymore so in reality Lagunitas "could" us them again.

    That's not what I heard.

If Lagunitas' output seems quite different than Stone's to you, then perhaps I'm thinking of a different Lagunitas Brewing Company than you. They seem to be on the same page to me.

Yes. That you were being a reverse snob, who decided to be condescending to those of us who choose not to buy those beers. I had given up on Lagunitas a long time before they sold out. Either recipe changes, stopping production, becoming almost exclusively an IPA brewery, and the fact that their former owner is something of a jackass were all contributing factors.

I gave up Elysian and 10 Barrel equally as quickly and easily when they sold out too.

Would you agree that the spending of discretionary income would be the ideal place to be picky about where your dollar is going?
