    Disney Tips
For those traveling to Disney, many places throughout the parks and resorts now serve craft beer.

Yes variety in the parks is limited. Yes it's expensive to buy beer in the parks or at your hotel.

Yes you can bring your own beer to Disney resort pools.

Thank you Bknarr for doing the leg work for all this time.

    UNIVERSAL
Since I know I’ve searched Universal many times, I figured I’d post a specific thread after a short visit this weekend. I will basically post about what I found unique. Yuengling and Blue Moon are all over both parks. I did not search every inch of the place to be sure. You may now be able to find some local FL beers at the parks.

Universal Studios - In Springfield, the Duff brewery offers three beers (I believe all by Florida Beer Co). I only had the regular Duff. It was fine. In Harry Potter World, you will find two unique beers. There is Wizard’s Brew (a very solid sweet leaning stout) and Dragon’s Scale (a mildly hoppy red). There’s a beer cart in NY area across from Starbucks and Louie’s. They have 4 locals including Jai Alai and Orange Blossom Pilsner.

Islands of Adventure - Hogs Head in Harry Potter had the two previously mentioned beers plus a 3rd which was malty offering in the Scottish Ale style (Hog’s Head Brew). To be honest, I didn’t see much else in Islands.

City Walk - Again, here you will find Yuengling and Blue Moon at walk up carts like it is growing in trees. I found the selection at NBC Grill to be vast and certainly worth a look. Clearly the largest selection was here with probably upwards of a hundred cans, bottles and drafts. In general, there was nothing hear that knocked my socks off though. The Cow Fish had a nice, but small selection of craft including about six drafts. Each of these two places had Two Hearted which was probably the best beer at each.
City Works @ Disney Springs seems to carry a lot of local beer.

Stayed at Portofino Bay and I’d say each venue there (pool, bars, restaurants) had one pretty good craft selection (including Jai Alai and Funky Buddha Hop Gun).

Thanks for posting this, I'm following the thread too. That's awesome that they do growlers, do you know by chance if they fill any growlers or do you have to purchase their growlers?

if you're visiting the area, check the Space X launch schedule as they've been very active with the rocket launces these days. Playalinda Brewing is a great place to hit out there for beer and solid food, about an hours ride and well worth it especially if you catch a night launch.

I will be in Orlando/Kissimmee the weekend of July 9th and interested to hear any local intel on breweries/spots not to miss and any releases/events going on as well.

I like hoppy stuff, fruited berliners, stouts and porters.

    Cheers!

Lake Mary. Have only had a chance to check out orange county brewer's so far. Now that we're settling in I'll venture out more. Genetic and the can and bottle shop look to be the best closest options

I live in Lake Mary/Heathrow. Be happy to grab a few beers with you.
Not much in Lak Mary... Genetic brewing. its a glorified homebrewer set up. Some of the beer is decent not a place I go to often.
Orange County Brewers/Tin and Taco. Beer is getting much better food is amazing.

There is a tine store in Sanford called Upsala Grocery. They have an outstanding variety of craft beer mostly cans and decent prices too.
    .
Me and my friends spend alot of time in Downtown Sanford. Deviant Wolf is the best down there. Celery city is one of the best beer bars and patios in Orlando. West End Trading has a great beer selection and EVERYTHING is 2 for 1 until 7 everyday.
New brewery opening in just a few weeks Dees Brothers. Toured the place Sunday. Its gorgeous.

Go ahead and BM me and we can meet up for a beer.

Coming down this Friday and staying about a week.

Any recommendations for nice to high end restaurants in the Orlando area? Open to any type of foods? Also looking for a great sushi place as well. Thanks in advance!

A great place to go for what you are asking is Baldwin Park. They have a great sushi/Japanese place Seito Sushi. Killer Ramen and Chirashi. Call for a reservation or go late night.
    https://www.seitosushibp.com/
Across the street from them is The Osprey, great mid to high end seafood restaurant. Killer happy hour. https://www.theospreyorlando.com/
And it so happens that one of the best breweries in town is right across the street. Tactical Brewing.
    https://www.tacticalbeer.com/

You can find High end restaurants everywhere. Most of them are simply tourist traps.
For steakhouses. Christners damn good. https://christnersprimesteakandlobster.com/ if you go ask for Kevin Popps as your waiter. He will make it that much better.

If you fly in after 1pm hit up Ellipsis Brewing. They are 5 minutes from Orlando Airport. Some of the best hazyies and fruited sours in town, worth the stop.

^^ Sorry for the delay in posting but just got back on Saturday - went to the places suggested and they did not disappoint. Seito Sushi was fantastic and we had loads of sushi as well as ramen. Tactical Brewing was really good as well - great spot and several very good beers.
The area they both are in is beautiful as well! Cheers and thx again for the intel!!!!

^^ also wanted to add that Bronson Liquors does have a great selection in Orlando but be very aware of canning dates. I was about to buy an IPA 4 pk from there and noticed the canning date was from Oct 2020 - that is just ridiculous. Bought some that were 3 to 4 months and they were starting to fade and malt was really coming through - SO BE CAREFUL!!!

glad you enjoyed your meal and Tactical. The canned dates is a big issue where with the independent stores. I think due to the pandemic there is just so much being put into the market.
    that is sits.

    Cheers
