Which is your preference, drinking right out of the bottle/can or pouring into glass??

I almost always drink out of the bottle, because I find pouring into the glass diminishes the flavors and body at least to a certain extent.

I pour into glass when I write a review or when the beer is so awesome looking in appearance, but that's it.

So you want to review beers that have (in your opinion) dimished flavor and body?
I basically always pour into a glass for exactly the same reason you don't.

I pour into glass if it's the first time I've had it or if it's any size bigger than 12oz. Last night, I drank both Narwhal and Ten Fidy without pouring them first.

When I do reviews, often what I will do is pour one into appropriate glass, and review it's appearance. I review the taste and rest out of the bottle.

I don't like diminishing my beers, I like experiencing them at their max. Thus, I always consume straight out of the bottle.

I can't think of any advantage whatsoever in drinking beer direcetly from the bottle/can...unless a glass just isn't available.

I even pour AAL's for my garden slugs into a plastic cup first before they drink it.

To each his own, but I doubt you'll find many people who agree with you. When you drink from a glass, are you using an American pint glass? If so, consider trying a tulip instead; that's my most versatile glass.

I've always found drinking out of the bottle, at least with higher gravity beers, limits the complexity. The only beers I drink out of bottles or cans are lagers, pilsners, etc.

I usually use tulips, snifters or something like that.

I prefer pouring into a glass and I have a few different styles of glassware, depending on what I feel like using. Only time I'll drink out of the bottle or can is when a glass isn't available.

I likes me a nice glass when I'm sittin' and relaxin' to a good brew - The bottle or the can work when I'm going for a quick quench, snoot , and buzz - When it comes to the Heady Topper stuff I pour half in a glass and drink the rest from the can (as directed) - cheers!

It would be like drinking wine from the bottle, its made to be served in a glass. Always pour into a glass, the only exception I have heard of is Heady Topper, the can says to drink from the can.

So either you think LMT shouldn't be killing his garden slugs, or you think he should be killing them with Rochefort 10.

IMO the best way is to drink out of a glass. That way the beer is agitated properly when tasting. It's just always been my preference to pour into the appropriate glass and go from there.
