Aborted my planned morning walk due to the current snowy conditions. Meh, though happy to see the sun creeping up earlier a few weeks past the solstice.

Not the typical Sunday Morning chill music I post, but this works out and pairs great with the beer.

Good morning, BAs! My resolution this year is to cap myself at 6 beers a session. Granted 6 is still a lot, but I can hit 10-12 easy if l’m not paying attention. I think I hit 14 once with @JamFuel . That was quite a day!

Anyway, starting this last day of winter break with a rather fresh can of tdh ipa. Canned 12/4/20. Haven’t had many ipas from this brewery, but this is quite bitter and very pleasing.


This will be a better year.

 

I drank/ate too much on Friday, so I took yesterday off. Usual dogs/kitchen chores completed...it was 68° and misty at 7am when I walked the dogs today. I buy one or two of this beer every year just to check it out - Oskar Blues’ “Death By Coconut”:



Canned 10/15/20. Poured at 57 degrees. Fizzy tan head atop ruby brown body; Tons! of suspended particles; poor cap retention, thin ring, minimal spotty lacing; no legs. Strong coconut nose, with toasted almonds and chocolate cake right behind. Coconut, dark chocolate, sweet milk chocolate; some light roast in middle; cream and vanilla on back end. Light body, slick oily feel; moderate carbonation; no warmth from 6.5% abv. Overall, the beer is thin feeling, but it does taste like a Mounds bar albeit a bit artificial; good balance between coconut and chocolate - pretty even flavor wise; the snow globe effect is still off putting, even if (hopefully) it’s shaved coconut; one and done until next year.

Good morning advocates and happy new year. I made a resolution not to buy any beer until I drink everything I have on hand. Going to try to control my impulse buying. Drinking Equilibrium Almond Pop brewed with Slivered Almonds, Marshmallows, Madagascar Vanilla, Cake Mix, and lactose cheers

 

It is going to be a great game today, @cbcrunch! I cannot wait!
