The Riwaka experiment looks very interesting. Unfortunately it looks like their shipping rates changed at some point for the worse. Previously it was only $10 for up to 3 4-pks which was the best deal around for less than a case. Now it goes by order price and is on the higher end of what I've seen - not really reasonable when you are still capped at 12 cans.

Hey all, popping in here to alleviate what seems like some confusion.

First though, thanks so much for all the support and super interesting discussions!

Some clarity on our shipping program and it’s resulting fees. Yes, we adjusted the fees so that they’re based the dollar amount ordered. Each box is limited to 12 cans (or 3 4pks) however, you are welcome to purchase as many boxes of beer as you’d like. We are trying to make this program successful and equitable for everyone so that we can keep shipping beer directly from the brewery to the customer all over New York State.

    Thanks again for the support!

Just picked up a couple cans of this at Gold Star. It’s really tasty. Just a really solid West Coast IPA and a reasonable 6.4 ABV.

Continuing the stint of dark beers, this week's State of the Arts is a 5% ABV Coffee Porter.

I love their beers and the names are fantastic! I make a homebrew version of Wrench with rye and called it Socket Wrench. Hopefully they make a similar one on the commercial scale! Glad they started making impact wrench and they should really make more tool-based names! Come on Hammer Drill Quad IPA!

Spring Landscape is back. Sounds like the same recipe from last year, unless i'm mistaken, and that was a world-class worthy lager.

Was looking for some fresh pilsner this morning and came across one from IA (forget which one exactly, I guess Metric?), flipped the four over and was surprised to see no date code or remains of one (misprint, etc) on any of the bottoms of the cans. Picked up a different IA beer 4 pack next to it and nothing on them, either, and no evidence of a sticker on the plastic holder, etc. So, Industrial Arts doesn't date code? Or did I just miss it (nothing on the metallic label that I could see.)

Pretty sure it's on the side of their cans, not the bottom.
See the bottom right in the can picture.

Thanks. Damn, now I have to make another trip to the liquor store.

I looked quick at the label, but probably didn't concentrate on the it since it's relatively rare placement, but makes a lot of sense. "Spinning" cans in the those plastic holders with the cooler door open gets annoying -- but it's a small price to pay for fresh beer now that I know where to look.

2021 Spring Landscape is another winner. Cannot recommend highly enough. The mint is toned down this year but every other aspect of the lager is in tact and still impressive.

It's starting to hit distribution if you check beermenus and untappd you'll see places depending on where you live

I got mine at the brewery. Limited distro per usual I'd imagine.
