    Welcome.

Firstly, thank you all for the comments and critique throughout 2020. 2021 is looking much more...productive.

Physical brewery: construction resumes in Copiague this upcoming week, after a nearly a full year of COVID-induced delays with our SBA loan. Our GC is optimistic about having the project completed by early summer.

Brewing on the road: until then, we will continue to brew and release monthly via Great South Bay Brewery (Bay Shore, NY) and Evil Twin Brewing NYC (Ridgewood, NY).

All info pertaining to our releases is posted to Instagram (which is linked to Facebook): https://instagram.com/rootandbranchbrewing?igshid=uwzivgc7slh7

Anthony, if you finally have a physical brewery I can visit by summertime next time I’m back home in NYC, I will do cartwheels from the Midtown Tunnel all the way on down the LIE until I get there

Unless it’s with a close friend, I wouldn’t count on many IPA collaborations coming from us. I’ve never met anyone from either business. You make good IPA + You make good IPA = brew a collaboration together - a formula I do not jive with.

Doesnt have to be an ipa. I'm good with just about any style. I know you will put quality above all else. The same with the breweries I mentioned. Might get more people to explore different styles coming for you guys

I plan on brewing lots of different styles when our Copiauge brewery is a thing. Presently, I'm brewing 30bbl batches at GSB and Evil Twin, whereas I will be brewing on a 10bbl system in Copiauge. Brewing a 30bbl batch of ESB, Mild, Pub-style porter would be comparable to commercial suicide. It would please a such small audience and confuse the rest. In Copiauge, I'll have the opportunity to please and open new horizons for people simultaneously. Until then...

@xenjoiii I have to ask...how nuts does the comment section on your IG page make you? I swear to God, it’s like some people have never bought beer before.

its pretty ridiculous. almost comical at this point. its only going to get worse. I can't imagine how bad its going to be when Copiauge opens.

Straight to hell is freaking fantastic. Can’t wait for the Hudson valley collab stout and the ipa announced the other day.

Wow, Dead Men on Holiday is awesome. I think it's the haziest beer I have ever seen. It pours so dense and milky. It's got that pineapple juice aroma I get from all R+B beers, is that maybe a yeast thing?

Nope. The strain I use for IPA fermentation produces ripe red apple, pear and stone fruit (apricot and peach) aromatics. I went a little crazy on this batch, for science.

As for appearance, that is mainly attributed to extremely aggressive hot side and dry hopping.

@xenjoiii does it again! First R+B can I ever had was Dead Men on Holiday B1 in Feb. 2018; stoked to be able to drink this most recent iteration. Truly exceptional stuff; hard-pressed to think of too many hazy DIPAs I’d take over this one. And as a fellow Koestler myself, I have also always loved the references to Arthur Koestler’s body of work throughout R+B releases.
