“Beer” #3. I legitimately like this. Will be enjoying the 6-pack over the next few weeks.

It's really hard to work on syllabi in the middle of all of.... "this."

I guess "GOP" supporters are trying the burn down the house, might as well have some fun with Talking Heads then.

Nothing makes sense and everyone is speaking in tongues :astonished:

Big storm is coming through now, the pup is about to go under the couch ha.

512 Nut Brown, a new year round release for them as well.

Pours a dark brown, with some reddish color around the edges. A small beige head rises and recedes relatively quickly. Light lace is left behind.
Aroma is all roasted malt aromas. Burnt toast, light coffee, a touch of chocolate. Pretty standard.
Again, all lighter roasted malt flavors, like the nose. Not full on Porter or Stout territory, as you would expect. Plenty of burnt toast, light coffee and chocolate though. Cereal grains as well.
A medium to full body. Good carbonation that is clean and finishes dry. Not hard to drink at all, I can come back to this easily.

Glad I found a six pack of this. Overall, I am loving the bottles 512 has been putting out. I do like this, but its much more American than they want to admit. Which is typical for most Brown Ales over here. I would really like some noticeable English yeast/fruity esters to balance out the relatively heavy roast for the style. Which is a complaint I have for most American breweries taking on English styles. Still I enjoy it, certainly not as much as Pecan Porter but its good. It will be a good sub when I want something a little less than PP.

    Overall score 3.59

Well, the drinking ain’t likely ending soon this evening.

Perhaps ironically, from a brewery out of Charlottesville, a NE IPA from Three Notch’d using classic British hops. Interesting and I hope I can get another 4pk.

New Trail Snow Angel DIPA. The third straight world-class DIPA I've had from these guys in a row. I know we try to stay relatively apolitical here, but what's happening right now is shameful and heartbreaking. If my father hadn't passed several weeks ago, he'd be weeping. We also try to stay a-religious, but prayers (and Lion-Buddha meditations) for the safety of everyone.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma papaya, peach, mandarin, fresh melon, apricot, and some grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows papaya, mandarin, pineapple, cantaloupe, apricot, and a healthy dose of white grapefruit in long lasting finish. 4.5

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, not dry but a tad sticky, soft creamy carbonation, and at 7% ABV it drinks a little bigger in body and flavor, but still goes down really easy. 4.5

Overall this is an excellent NEIPA from Modestman Brewing. Very young brewery. Buhloone Mindstate [IMG] 4.5

Having a Daily Serving with cranberry, blackberry & pomegranate right now. Fruity, juicy, almost a hint of bubblegum, blackberry jam, tart cranberries, pomegranate juice, thick and smoothie-like. Cheers!
