NJ recommendations....

No NJ breweries are allowed to serve food except brew pubs which to my knowledge there are none in Union.

Best breweries in the Union area are:

• Twin Elephant in Chatham (not allowing food currently),
• Two Ton in Kenilworth (may be closest to Union proper) - Ava's Kitchen and Bar in that town has good food but not sure of their covid/open/hours situation)
• Bull n Bear in Summit (very new, but solid - GREAT ramen place next door, and you can bring the food to the brewery)
• Untied in New Providence (I think they also allow BYO food currently)
• Four City in Orange

 

Also a meadery close by in Vauxhall called Melovino

 

Go to Twin Elephant (get some cans/crowlers to go as well) and either swing by Pascarella or Chatham Sandwich to pick up lunch which are nearby.

 

Trap Rock Brewery Restaurant in Berkley Heights is the closest brewery that serves food. Whatever you do don't go to Yale St Brewing in Cranford.

 

You can't bring food into TE as of now.
