Well you gotta get the fresh batch. And tell your distributor, and Bell's, that someone has year old hopslam on the shelf!

Sad, as I was hoping to try shotgunning some Hopslam this year. Oh well. It's understandable, considering the recent aluminum shortage. We have to adjust to the times.

Yes, as a matter of fact, Arrogant Bastard six packs have switched back to bottles, at least in my area.

Living in Nothern Indiana I've always had good luck getting this 10-14 days after canning, er, bottling and it's a treat. While it comes in at 10% it doesn't sit on your body like a turbid 10%, so it has always been a great big beer to be semi-active with. Awesome beer for a hike, I can't think of any other beer over 7% I want to do that with.

    You are incorrect

    Stuff tastes like lawnmower clippings.
Sorry folks but you can't taste the "beer". It's ALL hops.
    Yuck! Don't hate.

Sometimes when it’s really fresh it has some green vegetal notes to it. Give it a week that goes away as it kinda duals itself in. I’ve only had a few beers that were “green” each time within a week , and poof a great beer.

And if you're a collector who wants each new iteration of this cap regardless of how small the change is, the colors are more vivid in this one but it's still the same guy who is slammed onto his back and is being squashed by a giant hop cone.

12 oz cans are in short supply. A local craft brewery is glad they can in 16 oz, as they have no problems.

16 oz of Hopslam would be to much for me.

My IBU tolerance must be really high, then, because Hopslam is kind of sweet and malty to me. Haha.

Ah, so again it’s different this year, lol. It’s tough to pull off 10% ipas, it always a tad sweet to me. Dialing it back to 8-8.5 abv might be a nice balance. Making it so big imo isn’t necessarily a plus.

I haven't tried this year's yet, I'm just talking in general. It's never been an incredibly bitter TIPA to me. It's balanced but there's quite a bit of sweetness to it.

I love this batch. Must be the switch to bottles. Very easy to slam this one.

Most definitely, it almost leans too much that way, the older it gets the more it leans. I was being smart as it’s one of those “it was better” last year kinda beers. It’s also a beer I think would be better if they backed off the ABV a bit.

Odell has pivoted back to bottles on several brands too. I’m sure it’s happening to many others
