    Based on a recent thread in BeerAdvocate Talk, I banged out some updates tonight that aim to help with onboarding new traders, but I hope that everyone else will find them useful too.

    • New traders now get redirected to their dashboard instead of the rules post again upon agreeing to the rules.
    • Added: tabs for Dashboard, Trades, Recent.
    • Added: the current number of traders online so the dashboard doesn't feel so lonely.
    • Dashboard Blocks:
      • Quick Links
      • Communications
      • Your Trading Stats
      • Find a Traders
      • Reminders
    We just needed a better place to bring it all together and make it less confusing.

    Worked from my MacBook, but not from my iPhone, which is my normal mode of checking BA.

    I really liked the ability to hover over the "Trading" section and then quickly selecting the "Forum" section. Same when I was on my phone the "Trading" section had an arrow where you could click it and then quickly jump to the "Forum" section. Now you have to click on "Trading" and then get taken to the new screen and then click on "Forum". Is it possible to bring the shortcuts back?

    Done. I took them out for non-traders, but forgot to enable them for traders. It should show up any minute now.

    Is there some way you can put a macro there to request a trade? Do
    I still have to search for a member to initiate a trade?

    Thanks for everything!

    Because of this forum I’ve been able to try:

    Angry Chair, Kane, ABC, local stuff, FFF, Perennial, Bourbons, and other beers I didn’t know existed.

    I hope ppl keep posting and trading, it’s a lot of fun!

    Is there a way to add a notice on this page that there's an outstanding Bad Trader thread for the person? One be one more way to get the person to look at the thread potentially.

    I can look into this, but these threads a very rare these days. The last one was started on Oct. 30, 2020 and the one before that was on Jun. 28.

    Treznor you only have 12 trades since 2006, time to get trading! Tbh I’ve only encountered a couple sketchy folks on here and they seem to have disappeared. Make some trades, meet some ppl, get some beer.

    Get to the chopper! Do it now!

    I actually thought about that when I said it, because thankfully they are very rare these days. I'd call it a 'nice to have' not a 'need to have'.

    If you stopped by my house you'd see I don't really need more beer :slight_smile: I've been quite active in BIFs on here, which usually don't show up in trade stats since its not a 1 person to 1 person trade. My trade spreadsheet shows I've sent/received over 100 boxes and only a small handful of those were to people outside of BA (mainly friends that moved to a different part of the country and wanted a taste of home) so I probably have meet some people and gotten some beer :slight_smile:

    • Communications block added to put unread conversations and alerts and pending trades in your faces.
    • Added the current number of traders online so the dashboard doesn't feel so lonely.
