Good day BAs! today's New Breakfast Beer:



Certainly not a bad beer, just a bit light on the cherries for something advertised as "It's Super Krieky". Rating 3.87, rDev -8.3%.

 

Goodmorning advocates. Hope you're all staying safe and warm. Currently drinking Bottle Logic Hypersmash Hydra. This is a top 3 for me when it comes to barrel aged stouts. Every sip i take shocks my palette in a good way cheers

 

Rise and shine BAs, it’s coffee time - KBS:



Bottled 2/7/19. Poured at 58°. There’s a pronounced bitter roast/black pepper to this almost 2 year old bottle. Still satisfying...I need to restock with some freshies.

Today is our “cold” day...40° for dog walk earlier at sunrise, and today’s high will get to mid 50s. A good day to stay home and drink a stout or two...Cheers y’all and have a safe Sunday.

Kolsch Style Ale. 5% ABV
Stowe, Vermont.

Semi haze super pale yellow. Smells of wet white bread, vines, dried moss. Saltine. Tastes of saltine, plus salt, alcohol tinge present. Vinous hops. Feels dry hopped almost. Dry for the style.

I will say not my favorite in the style but can not complain. Would drink again

 

Have a Good Sunday. Worked another 8 hours and got a weekend for myself for 2 days. Gf will be here by the afternoon. I stocked the beer cooler for 2 hours and we certainly sell a lot of Twisted Tea, Steel Reserve, and Bud Ice. I just think the Twisted Tea meme helped with advertising. I finally got my 3 free Work polos, but I already have 2 from other people who left lol. Yesterdays funeral was a paltry affair. The preacher said his 3 bible verses and whatever and it was done in an half hour. My dad's side of the family said nothing to me, so why should anything change. I haven't talked to them in like 10 years. Only my older cousin Julie recently started keeping in touch on facebook. Only person in the family with a good head on their shoulders, but I digress. I had some average deli sandwiches, Doritos, and Left over Christmas cookies at my sister's after that at 130PM. Whole thing was socially distanced and shit, so we parted ways after the short service. Slept on the couch til 4PM and went home to sleep some more til work at 11PM and that's it.


Amazing as always, I found a ripped 6 pack in the work fridge, so I gave it a home. 11/24/2020.

Had to dump the beer as it had an uncanny (!) taste. Can you imagine?

 

Good morning, BAs! Starting today with another single-hop Simcoe ipa, although a different one from yesterday’s starter. This one is all pineapple. Lower abv, more bitterness, and oh yeah, half the price of EQ’s simcoe beer. I’ll take this one any day of the week.

I decided to wait until tomorrow morning to make it. I need to get a couple of ingredients which I'll do in the early morning hours when nobody is in the store. I'm going to make pesto chicken for dinner today. Cheers!!!

 

Four hours of overtime complete, 3 mile run in the sunny 45 degree air complete. This is my favorite stout in the world. This is the Heady of stouts to me.....but I've only tried 4-5. Getting the grill cleaned up for lunch.

 

Internet wonky today and can't upload my actual photo (WTF, Xfinity?). Recyc pic, but my last
ORB TILTED pale. One of my beers of 2020. Cheers... good posts last night, sorry couldn't follow all evening. But anyone drinking single malt, PX from southern Spain, and listening to Queensryche and Beastie Boys is all right by me... here's to hoping for a more stable (?!) 2021.
My friend in San Diego nearly got caught up in the protest madness yesterday... while he was surfing. But he escaped....

This is a one time release of a solid stout, creamy and rich and a perfect morning beverage. Hoping for a huge upset with football today with Marine at home in the FA Cup.
