Do you think drinking alcohol and getting drunk is cool?

 

After around 3 90 Minute IPAs, I am very sublime....

 

I like when I first realize that I have alcohol in my system, during the second or third beer. I also like when I get sleepy and go to bed.

Do you think calling your vice a hobby makes it any less of a vice?

 

Embarrassed to admit that previously I would have answered this question that 3-4 cans of 6% beer give a perfect buzz. Now it's about 6 oz.'s for a perfect buzz

I love a good buzz. I wish I could get a good drunk on now, I miss it. I love the taste of beer but now that I have to severely limit intake I miss the buzz as much as the taste.

So, not sure if I think it's cool, since that would describe something for others as well as myself, and I don't think nor care if it's cool for others.

OTOH I'm not a bluenose who pretends, "Ohh, yasss, I like beer, but no, no, no I do not like that nasty buzz, it's immoral and wrong, don't you know. I drink beer only for the taste.."

 

Two imperial stouts or Belgian Tripels around 10% ABV, 8+ ounces each. Bonus if it's in a chalice .

Shout out to enjoying a nice buzz, vice or no. Because not one of us is perfect, but all of us can enjoy ourselves and be responsible too.

 

It's like the old line "I only read Playboy for the articles".

I love beer. I'm not afraid to admit it. I love the buzz. I love the taste. The history. All of it.


I could do without the effect it has on my diabetes and I could do without the early death too.

I'm not sure what the perfect buzz is. I'll have to ask my girlfriend what hers is called, and report back, but I do know it takes 3 AAAs.

memento mori. youre gonna die one day. you can either enjoy yourself in the moment or pass it up for another time that may never come. sorry to hear about the beetus, that really throws beer drinking into a whole other plane.

 

If I'm buzzed, it means I didn't stop soon enough.

 

2 is my limit if I am away from the house for an evening out. If I start to feel buzzed I have gone to far

 

One nice beer on an empty stomach.

 

It used to take me 6-7 beers average ABV. Maybe 3-4 8% beers. Now I’ve cut way back. It’ll take two now. It got to the point where it would take me honestly 10+ beers to be drunk drunk so I stopped that.

 

For me the euphoric buzz it’s on the the upswing of the first couple beers (5-10% ABV) and the range is between 8oz to 24oz zone...dependent on speed of consumption and food in stomach. After 24oz, usually slides negatively.
