Great, thanks! I had heard "Tuesday" last week thinking the presale was on 1/5 and I'd missed it

Has anyone heard anything about when Half Acre is releasing their half of the collab? Or is it just "later in 2021" at this point?

We wanted to get some cool artwork done and collaborate with Half Acre on that process, while working with a new artist. Using our standard Deep Wood template doesn't allow an artist much room to express themselves vs. what the 16oz label allows nor does it allow consistency with what will eventually be the Half Acre label. Combine that with the fact that Half Acre uses 16oz cans + labels for their barrel-aged beers, we wanted to be consistent in hopes that someday people will drink these side-by-side. Also, while yes this is a Porter, keep in mind it's still 14%.

This is only the case with the bigger volume releases: Deth, Cafe, Straight Jacket, and Ryeway. If you look closely at the others, you'll see they are "sleeves" / "shrink-wrapped".

Anyway we could move the release up to this week? With the current tenor in the news I fear that one day my kids will ask what side I fought on when the 2nd civil war broke out and I'll only be able to reply "Well, you see, Daddy had to go to a beer release that day..."

Has anyone heard for sure if they are allowing proxies for the next deep woods release. I've seen alot of talk they won't be

They were commenting back in the event page on FB yesterday/today saying proxies were still allowed. Not sure why they would take it away for this release only

Does this mean I can send 5 proxies to pick-up my order or I can proxy for 5 people or after the first 5 people with proxies no one else can use proxies?

That is, you can pick up 5 orders in total, right? Someone might think (incorrectly) they can get their order, and 5 others.
    (as always, thanks for contributing)

HAH- LOL! I had to put down my DBVSOD as I read that so I didn't spill it with laughter.
For anyone that may not know, @BeerCruncher works for Rev.
And this latest post by @HouseofWortship is a great example of humor.

Interestingly I remember not loving Cuvee de grace right when it came out - ton of licorice.... But I opened one two weeks ago and loved it.

I did the same with my last can some while ago. Went in kinda meh about it, and by the end was like "I think this is better than I remember."

I don't mean to tease just reassure, but I'm having my first taste of Apple Brandy Ryeway right now and this is one I feel very comfortable telling Deep Wood fans that they're going to love AND feel like they're getting something well differentiated (within reason) from it's parent Ryeway to Heaven. From the second you take your first smell, you'll never question the Apple Brandy origin, then I think those of you who obsess over thickness will be amazied at what the Ryewine equivalent of Motor Oil Stout thickness, which is a significantly smoother texture. The apple character coats the autumn, pecan, maple, flavors perfectly, versus providing some weird contrast. I'm so glad we chose this base beer with this rare opportunity to get these kick ass barrels. As always, you can hold me accountable if my review I disappoint, but am pretty confident this will have been worth the wait.

    I haven't had On & On yet.

Think this will sell out as quickly as the DBVSOD?

Had we not lowered the limits to 1pp, yes. But we did that to help spread these out as much as we can, so I think they'll get prolonged *slightly* longer. I know it will be tempting to have your grandmule place a second order, but I would encourage everyone to just ask themselves, "would it be so bad if I only got 4 cans of each, given the frequency of these releases?", "would that be the end the world?". There's a ton more coming down the pipeline so think about your neighbor and protect your wallet. Though contrary to that, I had a sick On & On glass made that will be available next week as well. It's an 11.25oz Willi and looking pretty sweet (and different) :grimacing:
