North Park Beer Co. (2021)

We tend to keep the carb levels on the lower end for these beers. We sample constantly during carbonation process and cut it when we feel that the mouthfeel is exactly where we want it to be. If we go too far with the carb, the carbonic acid and sharp texture distracts from the richness that we are trying to achieve.

You're not going to get much of a head from these beers regardless of how much carbonation they have due to the obscene amounts of coconut we used in both, and in the case of 2020 a whole lot of macadamia nuts.

 

Bro I personally can't stand carbonation in high abv BA stouts. It ruins the barrel and just feels wrong. Just like drinking a BA stout ice cold. As much as I love Pure Project the last batch of Corylus was a bit more carbonated than b1 and almost ruined it for me. I think NPB has a good thing going. I've been drinking a lot of Bottle Logic, MT, and other strong players in the BA game and NPB is top tier. The triple vanilla MBD I had was almost flat and I loved every bit of it.

 

Anyone know until what day we have to pick up the MBD raffle bottle? Got a email about the charge but my OZNR app doesn’t display anything about it anymore. thanks!

Alright, new year! NPBC was definitely one of the few highlights of 2020 for me, haha. Looking forward to all that 2021 will bring.

 

Lots and lots of cans, at least for half the year.

 

Got a 4pk of Disciples of F.U. along with HelloLA & Hoperbolic being delivered today.

 

Same here, first experience with NPBC at patrytown and loved all the beers. Especially the Double Barrel Mostra Before Dying, for me best beer at the festival. I have schedule a trip and visit them when flying to the US is allowed again, so see you next year

 

Super excited for the return of Party Cup! Also Stratacadabra is fantastic of course, but PARTY CUP

 

I also like that they are doing mixed 4pks of cans...but ONLY in the tasting room. Sadly can't order it shipped/delivery. If I lived a bit closer, probably would be doing that on a weekly basis.

 

Ordered a mix case for delivery. NP was my favorite SD brewery in 2020. I could damn near live on NP, Pizzaport and Eppig alone.

 

Had some party cup and stratacadabra last night. I think I could do with just drinking those 2 beers for the rest of my life. Very impressed with them.

 

I’ll echo everyone’s sentiment on Stratacadabra so far in this thread, it’s pretty impressive.

 

Party Cup and Covington are really good.

NPB really does a great job letting the hops shine in their single-hop lagers but also having the ability to restrain that doesn’t distract from the style. Party Cup and Save versus Fire are great examples.

I don’t have a choice but to stan moving forward given the way they’ve been crushing two of my favorite styles: WC IPA and lagers.

 

North Park took more of my money today. Infernal Combustion was an easy decision and Sleep Machines and Aroma Constrictor because Motueka for the win.

 

Just grabbed some np cans yesterday and man that hop fu is fucking on point! That aroma was amazing!

 

WOW, I'm grabbing more of this collab with Cellarmaker if I can. Delicious!
