Let us pay some respect to these champions Beer and Agriculture!

KF delivers finesse and intention with every brew; from sessionable pale ales with old school hops, triple decocted lagers with heirloom grain, to brettanomyces driven saisons with foraged flowers and spontaneous ales.

Just 45min from OEC and 90min from Fox Farm, I encourage everyone add these friends to your next CT road trip. A Prius could make it down that dirt road!

What I'm excited about right now
    • Helles with endeavor barley, it worked super well in their czech inspired triple decocted lager that replaced their Vienna this year. Super dope.
    • Delve is their rotating kviek "Imperial Pale Ale" clocking in at whopping 6% this time with Amarillo and Ella
    • Light Through the Leaves collaboration with fellow brett warriors Unseen Creatures out of Florida

I would like to see more 750s from KF. Seems like the majority of bottle releases are 500 ml.

The first batch of this beer was incredible: had that 'full spectrum acidity' you sometimes get with lambic, supported by a soft texture and stone fruit skin tannin. Their proximity to agriculture, imho, enhances and stabilizes the microflora, yielding expressive and (hopefully) consistent spontaneous ferment. Either way, I fully trust the KF crew's palate!

I actually feel the same way about Oxbow. I love the 500 mL and count many of them as some of the best examples of the mixed ferm genre, but I look at the 750 mL beers like Again & Again, Native/Wild, Blue Noir, and would opt for them more than the 500 mL.

I'd love to try this, but I couldn't be any further away in the same state. 2+ hours each way is a deal breaker. :slight_frown:

Back Pasture is quite nice. Very attractive in the glass. Beautiful malt aroma and flavor; the oak definitely softens the feel. Recommended.

The road is really muddy these days, proceed with caution. Not as bad as HF this time of year with all the potholes, but very slippery.

Yeah, do not take Gunn Hill Rd this time of year, take the extra 5 mins and come around the back way, New Preston Hill to Sawyer Hill, etc... save yourself a carwash, and I think they prefer you come that way anyway. Although I always go home along Lake Waramaug for a scenic ride

This recent batch of Glitter Raibow is very dialed in, hitting the spot right now

It was decent. Will reserve final judgement once I reset my expectations for the next can. Went in assuming something akin to a Czech Pils.

    All Alone Nelson this week!
Every version I’ve had from this series has been fantastic.

Picked up a 4pk. last weekend canned 4/19. Best expression I’ve had of Nelson Sauvin in a while hands down. This beer is flying under the radar, what a treat.
