Finback Suspended Animation, DIPA with apricots. Canned 10/27/20. Looks like pineapple-orange juice on the pour, except for an ample head of large, loose bubbles, which dissipates in fairly short order. A multitude of small suspended floaties is more noticeable than in many NEIPAs. Aroma is subtle pale stone fruit vying with an even fainter pineapple. The stone fruit (peach/apricot) is more dominant on the tongue, giving the beer a much less tropical character than many NEIPAs. Not sure how much that can be attributed to the added apricot or to the hop bill. I find it has a bit more ‘tang’ and abrasiveness than is typical for the style. Enjoyably solid, though not sure I’d seek it out. Got this one can be a trade with the estimable @guinness77

Good afternoon, all! I am really enjoying this two-week-old Hopslam. Packaged 1/06/21, purchased at the grocery store earlier this afternoon. I've been on a streak of "Wow!" beers lately, and this one is most certainly no exception. Paired with not a damned thing. I'm enjoying this unfettered. Or commando. Or whatever. Anyway, cheers!

 

Agreed on the glass, I have had mine for many years, actually dropped it while cleaning one time. Instead of shattering, or even having a scratch, it broke three plates in my sink ha.
