RIS with Pecans, cinnamon and Marshmallow. No lactose. Minimal cinnamon. Smooth rich and still roasty. Delish!

Trying to find some weight plates today for curb side pickup and it’s not as easy as you might think. I guess Covid has created a boom in home gym equipment.

Starting off with a very good Quad. It’s not Rochefort 10 or Westy 12, but what is?

First song was quite raunchy and provocative for Canada back in the day. Second song...well, when I was twenty one I dropped out of university and moved from Nova Scotia to Toronto to shack up with a twenty six year old, who happened to be the daughter of my mother’s best friend. Good times but destined to implode. This was her favorite song and it is a great one. I finished school and the rest, as they say, is history. Cheers.

 

The 2 hometown pride breweries finally coming together to make beer! Part 1 I would call a huge success! Barrel aged at Rev with all the care that they put into barrels. Huge bourbon nose and taste but finishes so damn smooth!

If this is Part 1 then bring on Part 2 which is rumored to be a Barleywine aged at Half Acre!

Turned 35 today. My girlfriend baked me an apple and honey cake this morning and is starting on the pork ragout now.

We’re sipping on this and listening to Leo Svirsky.

 

OK, I was able to find the born on date on this beer. I was off by several years on my guesstimate, but still pretty old being brewed within the start of this millennium.

The first half was OK, so going to finish it now.

Second pour, Michelob - Born On Date 10/31/02 - Freshest within 110 days (24 oz)





This was actually much better than I thought. Not ideal, wouldn't do this on purpose, but glad I tried. Would take this over the bad Jai Alai I had this summer, or a Miller Lite, the only beer I ever drain poured.

I'm on a German beer kick today. Don't know exactly why except I had several I've been hanging on to and just wanted something super enjoyable and subtle. Anyone else get like that? I've been drinking some Stouts and Dark Lagers lately; but kind of wanted to switch it up.


Billy Holiday has such a unique voice. It's beautiful, but kind of rough around the edges at the same time. Best way I could describe it.
