Took several tries for me but got through. Had issues with the bbt4 and dm releases and couldn't get either - tried 10 times on dm and watched it go to running low then sold out. Win some lose some but no complaints as anything is a bonus.

Btw never really drank farmhouse/wild ales before these packages and as much as it's easy to complain about it, it's opened me up to a new style that I now enjoy. Sign me up for waxed grisette.

    This beer sounds absolutely incredible.

Love the barrel combos and the addition of the BA maple syrup in the finishing barrels. Pumped!

I love the way you think! I don't even try to get these kind of releases, due to my anti-package stance.

While I understand your reluctancy to buy packages you may not be interested in the "extras" I do understand their need to do these packages in these trying "Covid" times. I'm a small business owner myself and can appreciate the bending of the rules that it takes to survive what the hell is going on right now.Their sours are all very good and drinkable and remarkably, through all this, the only shower I have left is one Grissette. And they say this have a great access to SARA World class sours/Saisons but you guys have to think about how we oftentimes spend $6-$7 on one 12 Oz IPA so I guess it's all relative.

Omg how embarrassing. I'm sorry about the typos but I was supposed to be paying attention to my wife. At least I can correct this one typo..."the only SP sour I have left is one grissette. And I say all of this as someone who has great access to SARA's world class sours/saisons..."

As someone who stood in line for Grisette b1, I understand your point. I was merely appreciating the fact that there are others out there who are as like minded as myself.

I am kind of curious however. Wouldn't the "package" price of the beer make it worth even more than it already is? People can try to break down the prices of each beer all they want, but at the end of the day you can't pay less than the package price to get only the beer you wanted.

I had the page all saved and ready to go. Got home late and was making dinner when a buddy of mine told me he missed it, which meant so did I. I was really hoping to snag this one, hoping for better luck next time, and a daytime release.

Every time I think I can predict when the next release will be so I can be near the computer I am completely wrong. This release during curbside hours totally caught me off guard.

For me, it's a combination of having a budget for beer and whether or not the packaged beers are ones that aren't high on my list. The last BBT4 package was an easy buy for me, because Blended and Cellar Creeper were new to me then. I'm willing to pay up to try new beers.

This time around, Grisette, BB, and Cellar Creeper are already-tried, not-loved bottles. That makes DB MitW a $135 bottle, and just isn't as appealing, and buying it just to sell or flip for bourbon isn't my thing.

Absolutely zero issues with SP doing these packages--I know they're an easy way to stay as profitable as possible--it just means that I'll skip some releases, and my wallet will live to drink another day.
