    Bad math on 10% squared.

I keep going back and forth on whether or not there's a parallel to wine and the allowance for some kind of year to year (or batch to batch) fluctuations. Though I guess that's more "these hops are a bit fruitier this year, these are a bit more resiny, etc..." than, "holy shit, tastes like a different beer."

edit: I also don't buy that expansion is an issue. I was back there a year ago and nearly every square foot is is filled with fermenters. They haven't upgraded their system to do bigger batches and it's unlikely they found room (in Brooklyn) to put more fermenters. Sure there are more cans than ever before but there is currently no taproom to sell pours out of and keg sales are wayyyyy down so long as NYC is shut down.

Cracked a I Used To Be An Athlete last night, cheers to the BA crew. I enjoyed it, it had that backbone of Burial IPA I have gotten even more familiar with in 2020 due to them shipping to NJ. @jrnyc can attest to my praise for them in the days of perpetual quarantine! Has a bit of the OH melon taste going on but as it warmed that seemed to fad off. Def glad I was able to get this one!

Also as I stare out my window at the rain, ice, and snow coming down here and have a quick look at the forecast for Friday PM in Brooklyn, I am awfully glad I don't have to even think about if I want to line up for the anniversary release this year. Assuming the anny beers are this weekend, that forecast for Friday overnight into Sat looks brutal

Real men have no problem standing outside for 12 hours in below-freezing temperatures and pissing themselves come 8am. I'll be lining up this weekend regardless of whether the beers are released/they allow people to even walk up and buy them.

Just placed an order with Burial. Haven't had any of their beers in the past and didn't realize they were shipping to NJ. Side note, it is amazing and also extremely frustrating that NC can ship beer to NJ but NY, VT, MA cannot. FTS.

I was lucky enough to score a DB Maple in the Wood package last night. New to the proxy game here and As I’ve never done this I’m wondering how many thank you beers to send? Dude says he like BA stouts so I thought I’d send him some anniversary stuff.

Ordered from Burial a few times this past year - quick shipping and the beer has been really good every time.

I tried to score that last night but I had an issue where the package wasn't being added to the cart after imputing the answers to the questions, even after multiple attempts. Apparently a few other people had that problem too. I think maybe an anniversary stout would be nice, or maybe a few 8oz cans Evil Twins BA stouts. They still have one available for shipping and they've been very good.

Enjoy! I have a friend down there who used to send me stuff pre-covid and then I ordered a bunch last year as well. I think new stuff goes up on Thursdays now. Shipping is pretty quick and there wasn't anything I got I wouldn't get again!

Anniversary stuff should be good or ET cans like @SpinSamzo said. You could also check what he gets for bourbon county since it's so easy to find up here.

Thanks! I took me 4 tries to get past the security questions, so I was pretty surprised that I got through.
Good call on the bourbon county, I’ll check!

What kind of questions do they ask? I've been thinking about trying to score some stuff from Side Project.

On asking where Side Project is (it’s St. Louis) and the other asks to finish Beer.Barrel.___ (it’s Time.) Apparently sometime the correct answers just don’t work.

It is one of the supreme privileges of my life to announce this beer for #FanFam 2021 for @otherrhalfnyc 7th anniversary.⠀
    ⠀
I’d like to introduce you to 321 Days Since... An exceptional IPA in the 7th anniversary line up. It's crazy to think this is how long it's been since the Centre St taproom was last open. ⠀
    ⠀
Of the 2,555 days they have been serving the greatest beer in the world, I have made that walk to Centre Street about 1,000 times as Other Half is 423 steps from my house. It’s hard to fathom it has been 321 days and counting since the taproom was last open. And yet, it is heartwarming and inspiring to see what they have accomplished during the craziest time of our lives, and I especially love seeing how well supported they have been by all of you. ⠀
    ⠀
In 2020 they opened 2 new locations, crafted 100’s of astounding beers, created charitable opportunities for their community, and gave all of us something to look forward to enjoying at the end of the day.⠀
    ⠀
It has been my privilege to help create IG animations for special releases, a few goofy commercials for Virtual Green City, and a documentary for the original release of Like Whoa.⠀
    ⠀
Watching Andrew, Sam and Matt grow this brand inspires my own insatiable drive to do the best work I can and make the most of my career.⠀
    ⠀
I could go on, but I will save the rest for “All Green Everything The Musical” that I have been writing on the side for about 7 years now.⠀
    ⠀
Happy born day to one of the coolest brands, some of the finest humans, and the simply put the greatest beer in the world. Cheers, OH. ⠀

321 Days Since...IPA (6.8%) Another in our 7th anniversary line up. It's crazy to think this is how long it's been since the taproom was last open. It's been a tough year and we miss the energy and presence of all of you. Thanks for the continued support through these tough times, we will persevere and we will party in the taproom again someday soon. This IPA is hopped with Citra, Vic Secret and Simcoe. $16 per 4 pack. ⠀

I follow the guy who announced this on TikTok. He makes some interesting content. Always shouts out OH beers but I never knew he worked with them.

Cost +10^2 is drinking thicc. It's a medium orange color. There's definitely some melon along with maybe lemon and papaya. You can tell there's galaxy in this in a pretty good way! If you think the beers have been too dark, too thick, too much melon, then avoid this one.

Do I just drink too much Other Half to know the melon is gross; that my tastes have shifted with it!? Am I letting them hold my taste buds prisoner and I can't tell?

I would look at the delivery site when it updates tomorrow night after 6pm and you'll know if anything else is coming out pre weekend. Thurs at 6 you'll be and to know the weekend plans if they haven't Instagram posted.
