    First!
    Happy New Year!
Amazed to see plenty of Grimm cans in Wegman's!
The drops have been spotty, but right now they're in great form!

The latest ARPA DARPA is really good.
    So is Destination Neon.
Both have that candy thing going on...

Finished my last Maximum Boogie last night... Great TIPA! Great to be able to get them locally - picking up Lambo Door this weekend in Red Bank. Never been to the brewery, looking forward to a post-COVID visit!

I had a can of Grimm Super Going the other evening - what a pleasant surprise. It’s a “dry-hopped Gose with Orange Zest and Sea Salt Conditioned on Oak.”

I mostly tasted the sea salt on the finish and a bit of orange zest on the front. At only 4.8 ABV, this could be a really fun summer beer.

I thought Maximum Boogie was great, as well. Only had one can, but thought it drank well under its 10%.

Someone gifted me a bottle of Lilt last weekend. Dated November 2020. Tasted amazing. This past fall someone gifted me a bottle of Trillium super soak dated from late 2019. Tasted amazing. So my question is... typically how long do amazing bottled sours taste amazing for?

That truly depends on what you are looking for in a sour/lambic. If the sour is fruit forward, you’d want to drink it earlier rather than later as the fruit complexities will diminish. Unless you want that to occur. Many sours/lambics will become a bit more vinegary over time. But some mellow out. Some get more funky. There really is no specific guideline for a sour/lambic and time frame for drinking. It’s all based on preference really.

From my personal experience I always prefer a fruit forward sour/lambic earlier. However, styles like Gueuze I really prefer with some time. I’ve had several sessions where I’ve had the same Cantillon beer but from years apart and usually, outside of say the fruit forward beers like Nath, I prefer the older versions.

I have to say Pearly Dew Drops is absolutely delicious. Picked it up on a whim and was not expecting this - if you’re into Suarez’s “country beer” style do not miss out on this. I would drink by the liter if I could afford it

Can I lobby for Grimm Lite to be a year round offering?

    Edit: also Cross Stitch

indefinitely! this is what should be in your cellar. they will change a little over time but if you open one of our spontaneous ales or barrel aged sours three years from now it will still be a banger. Remember these have been aging in oak barrels out at room temp for months to years even before they're bottled. Only the fruit refermentation happened recently, and the fruit is the part of the flavor that will evolve most rapidly (but not necessarily for the worse). They won't become more vinegary. The canned quick sours like Super Going, however, need to be consumed relatively fresh.

Anyone had the latest Pulse Wave batch? I got a 4-pack on hold for me, been a long time since I had it.

Got a couple in the fridge. Per Untappd I haven't had it since 2016 which seems wild but maybe? Super excited to dive back in either way.

Also had not had it since 2016. Can confirm it's still fantastic.
