Sadly, with JK being one of my favorite breweries, I felt the same.

 

I really liked that one the first time I drank it. Bought a couple more from somebody selling them below cost even. Popped another one like two weeks ago and could barely finish it.

 

Can someone please do regular and DB maple blind and report back?

 

That's crazy low if that correlates to DB Maple in the Wood. Maybe that's the reason for the evening drop? Instead of it taking 0.5 seconds during work day, they've doubled the amount of available time for purchase by going with the evening announcement.

 

This isn't a complaint, just a curiosity, but I wonder how they decide which bottles will be LC only, vs LC gets first dibs vs public only. Tete seemed to have a larger batch than DBMitW and was only for members this year. DB Anabasis was a similar price tag and members only. DM was pretty small batch I think and only public. Feels random but I'm sure there's a method to it.

Tete was fairly large
DBA they had enough for (almost) every member.
DM was fairly large
DB MitW was small in comparison to the aforementioned beers

 

I appreciate the reply but I'm still a little unclear. Tete was fairly large and DM was fairly large but they were treated totally differently. Tete was members only and multiples and DM was public only.

If DB MitW is 490 like someone guessed above that feels similar to "enough for almost every member" And those were also treated differently. Although that 490 could be off and my guess of 500-600 LC members could also be off.

Super hot take incoming: Cellar Creeper is the worst SP beer in years, if not ever.

Super disappointing. Just tasted like yeast and had a bunch of gross gray sediment in it.

 

Speaking of LC, it was a week ago that they posted something about talking LC 2021. Anyone know if anything has come of this yet?

 

It starts over in March, so info will be towards the end of next month.

From that live stream back in May Cory said they weren’t going to expand, but that was also almost a year ago.

I would expect LC renewals to be in the next couple weeks. That way they have a couple weeks to figure out how many spots they need to fill and then get new members invited/enrolled before the beginning of March.

 

I was bummed to see that Marietta Ave sold out. I was hoping to put together a 6 shipper of white labels when I missed out on Maple. If the last one was blend #5 is it assumed that blend #6 will show up at some point?

 

they will most likely make it again, or have already made it again and it is resting in oak. it ages longer than most white labels though (historically, a year) so i wouldn’t expect it anytime soon.
