While the Marietta was great, don't sleep on the Le Saisonnier. Fantastic batch!

 

Regarding DB Maplewood

 

Welp guess I like shity beer

 

I found Le Saisonnier to be a great beer as well. Grisette is just as good as far as I am concerned. I would be as excited for those white labels as any beer mail I have received (well, almost any beer mail). The play between the mild earthiness of the hops and the light tartness in Le Saisonnier was delightful. Is anyone making better saison in the States?

 

It could be worse: you could be a European complaining on Facebook that SP does releases in the middle of the night for you

You best believe I’m up at 4-5a during release week, because waking up to the IG alert means I’ve already lost . The thirst is real

 

Not sure why some of them turned to ash, I made an effort to keep everything in bounds, but I'm assuming the talk about hype and secondary were too far. Either way, I'm still curious about the variety of barrels used in b1 v DB, with Rittenhouse not being mentioned in b1 and BLiS not mentioned in DB.

Since I missed the last two big releases my wallet is ready for once too. Can't wait for this one. Batch 4 was one of the best beers I had last year.

Anabasis b3 was the first big beer I solo domed at the cellar. So dang good. Can't wait for b5.

Hope they also do a 2nd batch of Maltvin soon. Loved that one.

 

had Maltvin on NYE along with Anabasis b5. Maltvin definitely holds it’s own. great beer.
