Hey all! Traveling to the Oregon coast this weekend but making a stop to visit the in-laws in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area first. Is there anything open with food options at this time? Thanks for any input. Cheers!!
The short answer is yes, but it really varies place by place. On premise dining is allowed even in the extreme high risk counties (which Hillsdale and Beaverton are in), but it has to be outdoors. Depending on the venue, that can be anything from an outside, unprotected, open to the elements patio area, to a semi enclosed, covered, heat lamp warmed tent. So if you have a particular place in mind, I would recommend giving them a call to see what the story is. Even website information can be dated at times (regarding hours, dining options, etc.), so if you want up to date, current info, it's best to call in advance. Good luck.
@John_M isn't kidding, at least from what I can see in the not too dissimilar state to the north. Identify where you are most wanting to go to and call them. That is the single most foolproof way to get info.
I'll be in Lincoln City the weekend after next, most everything looks open with indoor seating. We'll just be doing takeout and staying at our AirBNB on the beach. Almost feels like a different world out there compared to Seattle.
LIncoln County everything is open to indoor dining with restrictions ( mask/distancing). I went to Newport the weekend the severe restrictions were ended and it was an absolute mad house. Place was packed like the summer. Daughter went to Lincoln City last Saturday..same thing .
I'm staying half a mile from Black Squid so I was gonna walk over and grab some cans and bottles to go. I can't imagine wanting to sit down inside somewhere right now.
