Good day BAs! Another chilly but otherwise bland morning (weather-wise). Today's New Breakfast Beer:

We are (almost) about done with the bathroom renovation work. Good news and a well deserved and hardly earned  Duvel. One Duvel is not enough and I have purchased the 750ml format one...

Have a good Thursday. Got an email the same day I applied for a job from the VP of a recruiter company. The job is in Cleveland and its for thermoplastic product development engineering. I have to fill out a bunch of crap on their website apparently so I will get that done today. I have 2 other recruiters to call today as well that I have talked with in the last 2 weeks. Ziprecruiter is the best luck I've had for the year since I was laid off.

Been a while since I had a gas station burrito but this was awesome. Not that spicy, but it was satisfying with lots of beef and bean. I cooked it a little too much and had a lava incident on the first bite. https://www.donmiguel.com/burritos-chimichangas/the-bomb-burritos/spicy-red-hot-burrito/

Had this for a while, and never reviewed. Platform South Pole Elf. Excellent winter warmer. Lasting rocky head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, ginger, brown bread/crust, toast, biscuit, light coffee/roast/dark fruit, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness; and cinnamon/clove spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops/spice, and light chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness, no hop/spice astringency. Minimal warming 8%. Great balance between malt, spice, and hop flavors; nothing overwhelming. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering bitter/spicy dryness. No complaints. 4.03

I did the yearly review with my financial guy his morning. He told me all was well and I can stay retired. I'll drink to that.

I was always a fan of Stone IRS and @LeperJim was kind enough to share one of his a few years back when he sent this 2016. I figured it was time to unleash the roasty slightly charred deliciousness after a bizarre morning that began at sunrise in the fields.
Then I saw this. Look closer at the bottom right of the tire. I thought it was a tiny camera. :flushed:
    It was......
So I put it in my pocket and kept shooting. I opened the tiny cylinder at home where I expected to find someone's stash. Instead I accidentally stumbled upon some geo finding app game.
I guess people find it more entertaining than hanging around a beer site? I'll be nice putting it back and play along. The green guy is going to get replaced with another trinket. Perhaps beer related? The Stranger will not let me send his long lost friend back out into the cold. Is this the beginning of a wonderful friendship? Or takeover from celestial beings? :flushed:

Good afternoon, advocates. Decided to revisit this beer. Not sure if I'd call it a classic, overall. I think it's tasting phenomenal, don't get me wrong. I'm just on the fence about vaulting it to that status. If you've had this beer before, what are your thoughts? Cheers!

Starting off with a classic that I have somehow never had before, Weihenstephaner Pilsner. This is a damn fine example of the style. It's crisp, & clean. Hoppy with bread and lemon notes. I rated it at 4.24, which is a good chunk above its BA average of 3.97.
