    Good morning @MacMalt and all,

Glad to have a new and different face and avatar to start the thread, which is encouraged.

Drinking this Chimay, at cool but not ice cold temperature to let its flavor please my palate.

Good morning, fellow Advocates! Still working my way through the Christmas gift pack I received from my nephew. Today it's Fancy Papers, a "hazy" IPA from Cigar City. You say hazy, I say chunky. Pretty good beer, but the amount of sediment is a little off-putting. I'm thinking that may account for the unmistakable umami note I'm getting. Which I like, by the way. What's in YOUR snulip?

Good day BAs! Off to a cold and snowy start to the day - somewhere in the mid 20s. @MacMalt - thanks for starting today's thread. Colonoscopies are a procedure I don't mind - a nice nap in the early morning. Last time I asked the doc performing it to show me any polyps he found, since I spent 10 of the last 11 years I worked functioning as a path assistant as a part time job. He was a bit surprised but agreed.

    today's New Breakfast Beer:

I don't mind the procedure either. It's one instance where "what you don't know can hurt you." The prep isn't fun but it's worth it. Cheers!

A senior citizen Backwoods Bastard bottled 09/24/15. I haven't had a fresh one in a few years. This one is still pretty good exhibiting sweet notes of caramel, toffee and some barrel in the finish. It's time to burn the ham and cheese omelet calories with some house cleaning.

Capped this on Wednesday, and it's still drinking well. Thankfully, it was surprisingly effervescent when I first opened it, so that help keep it from flattening out. A bit less sweet now, which is nice, but it lost that intense maple pecan vibe. Still good.

    Reminder!
The Online Barleywine Tasting is now live! If any of you plan on opening any barleywines, wheatwines, ryewines, etc.. over the next 3 days, Do consider stopping by and posting with us! I hope to see many of you fine dailies there! Cheers!
